Because now it makes so much sense why John keeps flip flopping between laughing at Artie’s jokes and hating Artie because of something someone else said that “trashed” his kids, John is dead jealous of Artie. Going on the road with Artie made John realize how people treat a funny comedian vs how people treat him. It’s the same way he deals with everyone else he knows that’s more successful than him, but that appearance is like a play version of this chapter where he goes from “I love the guy!” to “Heroin addict!” In seconds caused by his insane jealousy.

We laugh at the LA podcast scene and all the new shows that are launched and relaunched with the same group of revolving hosts and guests, but now WATP is now following the same strategy, just with comedians with lower self-esteem. Podcasts are just an excuse for road comics to stop writing new material
