Hello friends,

I hope you're enjoying a beautiful spring! After my last convention—and the inevitable cold that followed—I've finally found my rhythm again and I'm back into painting. Today, I’m excited to share some new sketches with you!

I've already printed them on watercolour paper and started adding colour. I think one piece in particular might surprise you—the palette is quite a departure from my usual muted, nature-inspired tones. This time, I’ve been experimenting with vibrant hues and even a few wallpaper-style patterns. I really hope you’ll enjoy the direction it's taking!

On a side note: I don’t endorse smoking, of course, but there’s this one song that’s been stuck in my head for months—it's called ベットで煙草を吸わないで, which translates to “Don’t Smoke in Bed”, and I just had to do something with that. There’s also a touch of influence from the Japanese movie poster for Amélie, and a dash of Wes Anderson’s aesthetic thrown in.

And speaking of inspiration, I have a short but exciting trip coming up soon! I’ll be sure to take plenty of photos and share them when I’m back.
