Important announcement, action required!

I’M GOING TO TURN MY PATREON INTO A TIP JAR. THE MONTHLY REWARD BUNDLES WILL BE PUT ON HOLD. HERE’S WHAT YOU DO NOW:

Option 1: Stay where you are. If you still want to support my work and are fine without the monthly bundles, just stay in your current tier. You will still receive:

Option 2: Cancel your membership before the end of January.

Hello friends,

Now that we have the most important info out of the way, let me explain what’s going on. I’ve thought long and hard about what to do here, but I have to admit to myself that I simply cannot keep up with the reward bundles at the moment. As you probably have noticed, the switch to traditional media—as much as I love it—has also come with its unique set of challenges, one of them being the Patreon rewards. I’ve been struggling with recording my process in a feasible way. I find it so disruptive to have a camera shoved in my face, and I cannot concentrate at all. I tried taking photos every few minutes, but that turned out to be even worse. So recently, I just put off doing “the Patreon painting” to the very last minute because I didn’t want to deal with filming. I usually opted for something “quick and easy” that I otherwise wouldn’t have chosen to paint and that didn’t really fit my overall goals and vision for where I want my work to go. The result was a rushed, panicked painting that often stretched over the weekends. It’s been frustrating, and I am often disappointed in myself.

Patreon was always supposed to allow me to do more of the things I love. But right now, the way I have it set up, it pulls me away from those things. With the switch to traditional media, things just aren’t as streamlined at the moment, and I have to accept that. But I absolutely love this community, and I still want to share with you what’s going on in my life. For example, I can’t wait to give you updates from Japan and my creative residency in March and April! So I hope you stick around for that.

Thank you all. ♥

Honestly just happen to continue supporting you and what you do! I haven't been checking the rewards as much as I have when I first started, but I don't mind at all! :)

I don’t do much with the psd files to be honest. I would be pleased just with in process cel phone shots of the stuff you’re working on. Don’t need a tutorial or anything. I just love seeing how artists work from beginning to end.
