Hello all and happy February!
Added 2025-02-07 18:12:00 +0000 UTCJust to let you know Intro to Japanese is coming along tastily, and I’m ready for some native speaker help! If you are a Japanese native speaker and could spare as little as 1hr+ a week (for me to ask you random questions) then please let me know! This will also save me from announcing this publicly which I would prefer not to do until boom… course! With a little native help, this course is likely to be the only one ready sooner than I thought it would(!) I really forgot how much Japanese I had already studied, 20 years ago, but as I write it’s all coming back to me and my grammar books remain… I don’t know where they are! So that’s taken a larger chunk of the work off than I had remembered it might! Still I’ll refrain from giving any timeframe at all - taking this stress management stuff seriously!
I also have the British Sign Language workshop outlined with a really cool structure I think works brilliantly for sign languages generally and so can be easily adapted to American Sign Language etc.! So I'm ready for some input there too in case anyone knows BSL or knows someone who does!
And finally, I have my first free open public workshop back here in the UK on Feb 26th in Brighton - “Spanish in 90 Minutes”, if anyone’s about and wants to join: https://www.projectsclub.co.uk/event-details-registration/spanish-in-90-minutes-with-language-transfer-open-event
Hopefully after this workshop some doors will open for the collaborations I’ve been seeking (workshops in schools etc.), as of yet I’m not getting much response at all. I don’t know if it’s because people can get awfully confused by a project with the tenants of Language Transfer, it’s like: “Free? For the love of learning? What’s the catch?” or more cynically “What’s wrong with this guy?”. I once got this hilarious message along with a hundred-dollar donation [sic]: “wtf is wrong with you. it's been like ten years since i last saw someone just literally put a "get it free here, here, here or just download it as a zip" on a website. no email sign up no newsletter not even any ads. wat i'm so confused???” - So there might be a little of that going on, but the UK appears awfully busy falling apart such that it’s normal that people don’t see the wood for the trees; the many solutions that language learning could offer to a wide variety of problems here. I’ll keep at it! “Slowly slowly catchy monkey” as they say, somewhere.
If you’d like a dissemination pack to help you share Language Transfer because as you can see - you're literally all I have to do that, then please DM me your full name and address and I’ll get some sharer cards, stickers and other goodies sent out to you! Also if you're due an Interlinear ebook (check your tier) then shoot me a msg or comment below for me to get you a link generated!
All the best -thank you-, have a good month, try not to talk about the weather :D

2025-03-10 14:38:46 +0000 UTCI'm rooting for more doors to open for you, Michalis! I am happily recommending to my mom (we are Spanish) to listen and practice with your English for Spanish speakers as I am mind-blown by your work. I keep having etymology discussions with my Greek girlfriend and we are both amazed at what we learn in your courses. Good luck with all your projects!! <3
