LT in Barcelona!

Hey all!

I arrived in Barcelona a few days ago and I couldn’t be more excited to be here. Barcelona old town without the usual hoards of tourists feels like a wonderful place again and meeting interesting people seems much easier, fingers crossed I'll find some talent here for team I'm looking to build! If I do, or even whilst I'm searching, I'm thinking about setting up a workshop space in the gothic neighbourhood to have a physical base for the new team and to engage the public! Watch this space!

For now, I’m in Barcelona all of September and this is what I’m doing and what I’m looking for!:

-There are currently two open public workshops planned this month! See event list (https://www.facebook.com/languagetransfer/events). I’m  looking for more workshop hosts (co-workings, cultural centres etc) to confirm more dates ASAP. Know anywhere? Give me/them a shout, tag them here, make a little noise!

-I’m headhunting for folks to build the first LT team (teacher-course writers and ‘LT ambassador' for outreach), so if you would like to meet me, you can come to one of those workshops or the (free) language exchange after the Catalan workshop on September 15th (https://www.facebook.com/events/567109714434280). This is for any language although preference for Mandarin, Japanese and German.

-I need native Catalan speakers to help proof my Catalan workshop. This is an especially good opportunity for anyone who thinks they might want to join the LT team as a Catalan teacher-course writer. So if you wouldn’t mind me buying you a coffee and picking your brain for a couple of hours, gimme a shout!

-It would be great to have volunteers filming the Catalan workshop to release it as a mini intro course to help attract new writers to continue it! If you would like some voluntary work on your CV, this is a nice opportunity!

-I also need musicians/people with expert knowledge in the physics of sound to help me proof my music course before it airs on the 20th!

-And finally, in my free moments I’ll be looking for a shopfront to rent in barrio gótico. This can be with living space attached or without, and will serve as a workshop area and team space. Know anywhere? Got some time on your hands to help with the search?
