Hello again. This month's update is a little miscellaneous because (I can finally talk about this!) I got deported from Canada. I was living on some friend's sofa's for a bit so please forgive the interruption in narrative comics. Everything is okay now and I am allowed to go back in January.
I was able to see an exhibition of Mike Kelley's work recently, and it meant a lot to me. He had made lots of large fabric art prints, so the following pictures are designs I made to print on large pieces of fabric.
At this point in the design process I became distracted and started to develop this as a Tea Towel design. But tea towels are folded in four segments before they are hung up, so the design would be messed up. So I made a design to be folded 4 times.
I hope it turns out okay.
The cabbage fairy turned out good. I am still hand embroidering the paw pads. It needs more stuffing but it's looking good. It will travel to canada with me.
