Half-Year Report 2024

Hey there everyone! It is half-year report day!

The current work we have released this year is as follows:

-3 Hamtaro japanese dubbed episodes.

-16 episodes of our new main show, Pururun! Shizuku-chan, finishing the season.

-8 batch episodes of Bosanimal, finishing the season.

-24 episodes of I.Cinnamoroll.

-80 Cinnamon shorts.

-The revamp of Cinnamoroll: The Movie.

-The Wish Me Mell: Working Hard Diary short series.

-Little Forest Fellow's short series.

-1 episode of Hamster Club.

-All of the remaining episodes of the first season of Jewelpet, in collaboration with Stardust Fansubs.

As you can tell, we have been quite busy! It has been a really productive half of the year, we have worked really hard and took a lot of varied projects. We have also been working hard on keeping daily projects like I.Cinnamon coming out as soon as possible.

We have took a liking to Sanrio projects as you can tell, and took a few really fast really cute projects to do as appetisers between big projects.

This year we have aimed to finish some of our projects: we finished Shizuku way faster than expected (the plan was to finish it in June and we finished it in March!), we pushed hard to finish Bosanimal, and we even started two big projects!

One of them was chosen from the poll we made a few months ago, but the other one is something you guys have been asking for a long, long time. We have finally decided to tackle down Hamtaro 1-105. That's what this fansub team was created for, after all, to finish all of Hamtaro!

There's also another surprise: recently, we have been translating all of Jewelpet S1. Stardust pretimed all episodes a while ago, so we decided to get them done and release our own version, as Stardust staff is busy with life and other projects and their releases are going slow. So we will release our own version, which will be lacking some of the magic that Stardust adds to the subs (translation check, effects and so on), but it will be a proper release for the whole season!

However we should discuss our failures this time around too:

This was previously discussed last year, but Hamtaro revamps have become a very low priority for us. Yes, they're relatively easy and fast to be worked on, but they also take time from other projects so we, most of the time, even forget they are an option.

Sugar Bunnies Fleur is still on hiatus, we finished other projects that were secondary though, so we are running out of things to focus other than Fleur, so it should be done eventually.

There were a few other things we wanted to work on or release that we didn't have a chance to work on, we wanted to make our releases more available by opening a Youtube channel and that just hasn't materialized yet. Sometime soon thought!

Finally, let's review the objectives for the second half of the year:

-Sub at most 6 episodes of Pururun! Shizuku-chan Aha!.

-Sub the remaining episodes of Sugar Bunnies: Fleur.

-Start subbing Bosanimal's live action drama.

-Continue subbing Hamtaro 1-105, without any specific number in mind.

-Continue subbing I.Cinnamoroll and sub the remaining Cinnamoroll shorts.

-Continue subbing Hamster Club.

-Sub the japanese version of Hamtaro Hi! episodes.

-Sub the Hiragana Hamtaro specials as well as the train specials.

-Sub the new Jewelpet Movie, "Attack Travel".

-Revamp some previously translated Hamtaro episodes, sparcely around the year.

-Revamp the last remaining Hamtaro movie and the fourth OVA.

-Study the possibility of subbing other series related to the “kodomo” group, candidates being: Mirmo Zibang, Maple Town, Tamagotchi, Calimero and Valeriano, Master Hamsters, Kyoro, Ringo no Mori and other Sanrio OVAs.

-If a new Hamtaro series shows up, translate it in the shortest time possible as a full-fledged sub team would do.

-Try to create a “stream event” where we subtitle live.

-Promote Patreon and Ko-Fi more to increase our patrons.

-Create a specific website, outside of Ham-Ham Paradise, for Paradise Hamsubs.

The objective of the second half of the year is to start the "second season" of our main projects, wrap up others and do a few revamps here and there.

We might jump into other new projects if the chance shows up, and we are still keeping an eye for the "Sanrio Puroland DVDs" that had a good reception on the poll. But we think it won't be as exciting and productive as the first half of the year. Hopefully we are wrong!

That said, there's another announcement to make. Starting mid July and until early September, André is going on his yearly vacation to the United States, so during those two months, projects will be stalled immensely. The plan is to continue working, specially on specific daily projects like I.Cinnamon, but there's going to be a shortage of a lot of new subtitles during that period, our apologies.

We still aim to make some releases for Hamtaro birthday though, hopefully we can deliver!
