Great Villain: Starting by Humiliating the Son of the Heavenly Fate Chapter 345: It's Time to Use That Thing

Within the vast sinkhole, the inhumans cast nervous glances at Mo Hao.

"What's wrong with this guy?" one queried, his voice tinged with suspicion.

"Why did he passionately yell 'No,' when the senior could've wiped out all the demons in one go?"

"Could he be a spy from the demon race, sent to infiltrate our Immortal Martial Continent?"

"It seems plausible. Earlier, he took a circuitous approach to persuade that senior against slaying the demons, insisting he should do the killing instead. His rationale? To act in a pretentious manner—absurd, isn't it? I've never heard such an excuse!"

"Keep your distance, everyone. He might very well be a demon spy. If he acts, we're all in danger!"

Retreating to a safer distance, they watched him one after another.

Even a dog belonging to one of the inhumans gave a whimper and scampered away.

Hearing the inhumans' fearful whispers within the expansive sinkhole, Mo Hao declared emphatically, "No! I am not a spy for the demon race!"

"Don't slander me!" he added, his heart sinking further into sorrow.

His plan to act pretentiously had not only been foiled again but now he was also being suspected of being a spy for the demon race. The situation was becoming increasingly miserable.

"Everyone, rest easy. I believe Mo Hao is not a spy for the demon race," Jiang Chen announced, as he descended into the middle of the sinkhole after collecting the bodies of the fallen demons from the sky. The statement, naturally, was voiced by Shangguan Ning.

Her reassuring tone instantly alleviated the tension among the gathered inhumans.

As for Mo Hao, he stared blankly into the distance, his eyes unflinching.

Observing him, Shangguan Ning conveyed Jiang Chen's message, "Mo Hao, Jiang Chen has relayed some information to me."

"The demon army here is massive, numbering at least in the millions. The fifty to sixty thousand we've seen are merely a small fraction."

"What do you plan to do?" she inquired, her tone casual yet probing.

"What! Those fifty to sixty thousand are just a fraction?" Mo Hao's eyes widened in surprise, but then his spirits soared. "Yes, these demons were teleported here through a magical artifact. They're merely a small portion of the entire demon army!"

"I still have a chance to act pretentiously and grow stronger! Hope is not lost!" His prior despondency transformed into a flicker of renewed optimism.

Shangguan Ning replied, slightly perplexed but earnest, "I don't know why you always feel the need 'to act pretentiously'. However, the demon army is currently wreaking havoc everywhere. Would you like to join me in fighting against the demon race?"

"No!" Mo Hao quickly shook his head, his voice tinged with urgency. "I don't want to go with you or with Jiang Chen."

"And as for that elderly woman who appeared earlier in Red Maple City, you'd better take her away."

"I want to defeat the demons myself; I don't need any assistance!" His demeanor was tinged with a trace of panic.

At this point, he was genuinely fearful.

He even began to suspect that the heavens themselves were conspiring against him.

Why else would he experience such a string of failures, no matter where he went?

Hearing his response, Shangguan Ning spoke with deep seriousness, "Given your current combat abilities, you would stand no chance against a demon army like the one we just faced."

"Why not join us? With you added to the team of myself, Jiang Chen, and the elderly woman from Red Maple City, we could definitely expedite the elimination of the demon race!" Her argument was logically sound.

The inhumans within the vast sinkhole nodded in agreement upon hearing this. The human race is already at a disadvantage; if we don't unite now, the demon race will surely pick us off one by one!

"No!" Mo Hao yelled, his voice escalating with emotion, "I want to do it alone!"

"Every single one of you, get away from me!" he added, teetering on the edge of losing control.

The inhumans within the sinkhole furrowed their brows, visibly perplexed.

"What's wrong with this guy?" one muttered, his tone a blend of annoyance and confusion.

"I know, he's utterly unreasonable!"

"It's astonishing that someone with this attitude could cultivate to the Transcendence realm."

They found Mo Hao both mystifying and objectionable.

"Let's not dwell on this any further," Shangguan Ning said gently, "Everyone has their own perspective."

"Even those of you who isolate yourselves in this vast sinkhole, indifferent to worldly matters, are puzzling to outsiders."

She then turned her gaze back to Mo Hao, "If you're set on combating the demon race solo, that's fine. I won't stop you. I'll have Jiang Chen create a spatial channel to send you to the most remote location."

"Fine!" Mo Hao clenched his teeth and nodded.

Though accepting Jiang Chen's aid would dent his pride, he found himself without alternatives at this juncture. Was he expected to travel to another domain by himself?

Even with Transcendence realm speed, the journey would consume a significant amount of time.

What Mo Hao was unaware of, however, was that he was blessed by Heavenly Fate. Even if he didn't seek out the demon army, they would eventually come to him of their own volition.

"Then it's settled," Shangguan Ning said, her tone tinged with solemnity. "I hope you manage to survive against the demon race." She produced a transmission jade token and feigned manipulating it for a brief moment.

After a short pause, she continued, "Jiang Chen hasn't responded yet; he must be preoccupied with the demon race. Let's give it some time."

The explanation seemed entirely reasonable.

Mo Hao didn't question it and nodded in agreement.

He then sat down and commenced his cultivation.

'Has this guy, after numerous failed attempts to act pretentiously, finally grasped the importance of diligent cultivation?' Jiang Chen mused, a smile on his lips as he secretly shook his head.

Mo Hao's unconventional trump card was to grow stronger through pretentious behavior. His innate talents were respectable, but only when benchmarked against common individuals.

For Mo Hao, the concept of rigorous cultivation held little significance.

Next, Jiang Chen also settled down to sit, quickly delving into calculations within his Sea of Consciousness on how to maintain his 'boiling frog' strategy.

Given Mo Hao's currently heightened emotional state, pushing him to the brink of despair could induce a dramatic, unpredictable shift due to Heavenly Fate.

'I've already used the identities of Nangong Wan and Shangguan Ning,' Jiang Chen thought, "If I keep switching their identities to create new personas, the distinct qualities of their divine sense will remain unaltered and they could easily be recognized."

'It looks like it's time to use that thing,' his divine sense subtly explored his spatial ring, where a mysterious, enormous egg captured his attention.

This mysterious egg had been acquired from Immortal Tian Cui's secret realm. It was the result of cross-breeding a Void White Dragon's egg with the bloodline of a Death Calamity True Dragon.

Upon reaching maturity, the Void White Dragon was a formidable species, attaining the Nirvana Cleansing realm and possessing a high probability of advancing into the Void Tribulation realm.

The Death Calamity True Dragon was even more extraordinary, achieving the Void Tribulation realm upon maturity, with a strong likelihood of ascending to the Fourth Step of the Cultivation Path.

While this hybrid dragon egg might not rival the strength of a pure Death Calamity True Dragon, there was no doubt that upon hatching and reaching maturity, it would ascend to the Void Tribulation realm.

Remarkably, this formidable dragon species would already be in the Transcendence realm immediately after birth!

'I'll use you to put an end to Mo Hao's pretentious antics once and for all,' Jiang Chen thought, a subtle smile gracing the corners of his lips. He had recently amassed a significant amount of unused qi and blood energy, more than sufficient to hatch this dragon egg.

Having made his decision, Shangguan Ning immediately feigned receiving a message, announcing, "Jiang Chen is free now."

"He'll open a spatial gate for us shortly." Following her words, she discreetly activated the Cave Heaven's secret key to open a secondary spatial gate.
