So it’s been over a month since “shrinking in the mall” got published and over 70 players played it already, about a quarter of them managed to get all endings.
I love to see the feedback and the fact that not all players came from Patreon / DeviantArt, I tried to boost the time I spend on writing and planning “Shrunken Lives Matters” interactive story.
And as much as it is hard to admit I feel like I jumped over my head, the story is just too complex to even be diagramed properly in 2D.
I spent many days and even weeks and I’m not even 30% done 🤦🏻♂️
What went wrong?
To explain shortly - the story starts with you arriving to SLM HQ as someone who was enslaved by Veronica for 15 years (the daughter from the shoe store branch).
It starts with a questionnaire about your details, you can choose to lie or be honest and it will affect dramatically the rest of the story.
That’s where I think I exaggerated with options and as I try it I see that it takes too long to get to the action and I just don’t like the way it turns out, and those of you who know me knows that I hate releasing something I’m not happy with. 😕
What’s happening now?
As I see it I have 2 options:
1 - scrap big chunks of the original sketch and release something.
2 - put SLM on hold and work on a simpler interactive story. I already have a few ideas I need to explore.

I haven’t decided anything yet, but I want to be transparent with you and share the news.
I lean towards option 2, I want the website to have more than one interactive story, then in the future I might have the resources to dive into something as big as the original plan of SLM, hopefully.
I know that I usually update on good news but there is always a first 😢
Made an over-confident wrong decision and it’s causing some disruption in my original plan (for the first time since I opened Patreon actually), sorry about that.
Thank you all for the continuos support and I would like to hear your thought about it 🙂
