Welp, it's almost the end of August, and it's my birthday week.

Next month is the State Fair and I told my wife and daughters that I wanted to take the grand-daughter there and take her on rides so she can have a good time. She's just now five years old, and has been doing good in school, so I want to reward her. So I'll probably take a week off in September.

But, that's not why your here. You're wondering what everything means for the First Contact/Behold: Humanity! universe.

Well, first of all, I'm halfway through the first book's second editing pass.

I'm not sure if I want to end the book after U'ulmo'ok (He was a bad Lanaktallan) or at the end of Ekret's first arc. Half the problem is Amazon's limit on spine thickness for printed books, unless I want to run the font really little.

Still, I'll figure that out later.

If I end it with Ekret, then the first chapters of the second book is U'ulmo'ok, if I end it with U'ulmo'ok, then the first chapter is "Run, Podling, Run!" which, as we know, is just a heartbreaker.

The cover is being done as we speak, which is nice. I'll share it when it's closer to final.

I'm not exactly sure what I want to do as far as some things, I'm still ticking it away in my skull.
