Foot Dragging Mystery in Japan

Comments

Law says helmets must be worn.

That’s nuts, especially on a full size bike. I could see maybe people pick up the habit on bicycles and transfer it over, but you’re going way too fast on a powered cycle. I’m too tall to dangle, but I did have to break my instinct to put a foot down to steady myself when I first started riding motorcycle. Nearly breaking my foot once taught me real fast 😅. In Japan, do scooter riders have to test and get a license or endorsement like driving? Motorcycles? Also, are helmets common in Japan, or were those three riders unusual? Maybe less common in summer? Here in the US it feels like there’s a uncoolness stigma against it. I never go without helmet, gloves, and boots at least but that’s not common.

Oh I thought that was going to be about foot draging while walking... I've noticed that sometimes.
