Movement and This Week’s Salon

Things are moving. And by things I mean me. I’m moving (same suburb, new place), which is exciting and a little intimidating. After so long subletting, month-to-month-lease-ing and living with family, getting a proper flat means basically admitting that I’m not in the U.K. any more, least for now. I’ll have to buy a bed. Legit. Next I’ll be chucking in my prepaid phone plan for a proper contract. Erp!
Although most of my work is still based there, the world’s current chaos looks like lasting a stretch longer. Part of it feels like giving up on that irrational secret fantasy that I could just up sticks and head back to London any day now. Part of it feels eminently sensible. I can still do my work. I can still travel. I just have a home base now in a way I didn’t before.
Anyway, I’ll be doing the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for two weeks in April, and am arranging to have them let me stream some of the shows, so there will be more Alice Fraser comedy floating around. Stay tuned for ticket link and remember all patreons at all level get 2 for 1 tickets to all my live shows.

I'd offer to help with the move for free beer and pizza but, alas, the equator and pandemic presents an impassable barrier! also, I don't think it's us an irrational fantasy... just delayed as we all agitate and plot and plan for the resurgence 8) at least that is the hope I hold on to
