Changelog Update (1/11/2025)

I just want to start this out by saying that editing some of the public chapters has made me blatantly aware of just how terrible a job I did with some of them. I was in a very bad place for a bit there, and one of the things I treasure the most about being in a better place is that I can look back and fix what I did wrong.

It'd be easy to think of me editing the chapters again for public as some kind of lesser experience for the paying viewers, and I've been guilty of thinking of it that way before. I've felt guilty multiple times about the objectively better chapters dropping weeks after the people who paid for it got a worse experience.

But the reality is that it's my chance to fix things and make up for it, and I couldn't even do those edits without you all to fund my efforts to write/polish this story. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the opportunity to fix and work on this story, and thank you for sticking around with me through some truly awful updates. The public readers owe you a debt, and you've a direct part in the smiles everyone has been given all the way here, and the smiles everyone will continue to be given as this project continues.

Moving on, here's the changelog for the last while.
101: I added about 200 words in description, and made a few lines clearer.

102: Mostly just made a lot of wordings clearer. Some noticeable description was added. The fact that this chapter was mostly boring scenes taken directly from canon really showed through in the tone, description, and awkwardness of the dialogue. So, I took the chance to clean it the fuck up. The same message and meanings are used though, you can skip it unless you really like Iruka and want to see him given a little more time and effort.

103: I might have been having a bad few days when I wrote this chapter. The amount of incredibly awkward lines was disturbing. The fixes are very palpable, and I was even able to inject a little humor without changing the tone of the scene. Might be worth a reread if you like Sakura and Iruka.

104: Just some flavor text, nothing important.

105: The changes were all flavor text and description and cleaning up but they were by no means small. This chapter hit 3K in public edits and I think the initial version was somewhat inexcusable.

106: Mostly flavor, a few small details needed clarifying, like Naruto's finances. Sakura's speech is modified slightly to be more tonal. I didn't add a lot of words, maybe a few hundred, but the chapter reads completely differently. To be frank, it felt like a rough draft and needed serious fixing.

107: Minor flavortext update. It'll be better on a reread of the whole story, otherwise, don't worry about it.

108: Absolutely massive changes in flavor text. Sakura's more supportive and less undermining of Ibiki, her logic is refined, and there's a segment on the ninja wars and her world views. I think it's 100% worth a reread, especially if you were unsatisfied with the initial chapter. I added 500 words.
