Apparently Jonathan Bailey asked to be in the show after he became a big fan of S1. There wasn’t anything for him in S2 and this little role came from a mini comic that Alice Oseman and Wren James came up with while texting one night. FYI, the mini comic is called The Ethics of Infatuation Dynamics. He looks exactly like the character from the comic 🤭
