Hello! Doesn’t feel like a week has passed, but I’m back again with more casually unhinged Drosera content, woohoo!

In the real world, venus flytraps catch an insect and form a tight seal before they start the digestion process. If the trap can’t close fully, it doesn’t dissolve anything. Drosera’s flytraps are the same, so her traps can only handle small creatures like birds and rodents while bigger meals are eaten normally. She doesn’t eat bugs, since they’re too small to be of much nutritional value to her. So if she’s in town, be sure to keep your household pets on a tight leash! Even the most ferocious of chihuahuas aren’t safe around her.

I love the whole dynamic between Drosera and Ignacio. It’s just funny to me how calm and nonchalant she is about everything she does, as opposed to Ignacio freaking out at just her toothy smile. Yes, those spikes on her lips are her teeth. She can fold those teeth in to appear to have a regular smile. I imagine they’re kinda like thorns, but flatter. Character design is fun :]
