The thing about K2, is in the SW world even if you could revive the Droid with new parts, its memory core is going to be fried after being hit with that many plasma bolts. So if they revive him, he still wouldn't be K2. He would essentially come back to the moment in Andor when he was given this current life.

I genuinely think Clone Wars is the type of show that if they were to watch, would require a committed, keen curator who knows their tastes and can pick and choose which episodes are both necessary to watch and ones that they would enjoy, because otherwise I doubt they'd make it through the first season lmao. There is legitimately some really good stuff in there, but also a lot of meh to bad. It being an anthology series makes it easier to pick and choose in that way

Y'all need to watch Clone Wars in the worst way. It's so much more up your alley than I think you would expect. It's the second best SW show.

"All those reshoots really hurted the movie overall" You almost certainly have the cause and effect reversed. Most accounts indicate that the reshoots saved the thing from being a total shitshow. At least the film is still watchable and was successful enough that we could even get Andor.

Great reaction. One of my favorite Star Wars movies. Holds up well. An awesome SW movie. Of course, the Andor series is the ultimate.

I think you'd enjoy Episodes 5 and 6 if you end up watching them. SW fans love the space battles and lightsaber fights, but the movies are first and foremost about characters. That's why they're so beloved, and I know it's something you'll appreciate. The Prequels (Episodes 1–3) are less well-made than the originals, but I have a feeling you'd like them even more than the originals. They're about the destruction of the Republic, Palpatine's rise, and how Vader became who he is. I'm not going to pretend like the IDEA of the Prequels isn't better than the actual execution, but they still tell an interesting story with interesting characters. The trilogy also ends on a high note, because Episode 3 is quite good and a lot of people's favorite Star Wars movie. I wouldn't waste any time on the Sequels (Episodes 7–9). They're a very badly thought-out trilogy of movies starting from the very first one (Episode 7). Just pretend they don't even exist, just like a lot Star Wars fans do lol

On knowing (for a fact) that Cassian dies before seeing the Andor series, it does make watching the series a different experience. Those of us who did went into it knowing that Andor and a few other characters couldn't die but expect every other character that we'd never seen before would almost certainly die. We were all expecting Kleya, Yel and Bix would die at some point. That the final scene of the series was of Bix with Cassian's child was a bittersweet scene, knowing that they'd never see each other again but that he died for the future of a family he didn't know he had. There were two scenes in the series, when Cassian hears that Maarva has died and he looks out at the ocean and the final scene with Bix looking at the sky, that are nods toward the final death scene of Cassian in Rogue One. Re: Mon Mothma, the Andor series massively expanded her character development so it's not surprising that she doesn't quite act like you'd expect her to if your view of her is based on the series.

Haven't watched Rogue One again since a couple of years ago, and I have to say. Christ, it doesn't hold up in quite a few places. There are so many problems with some of the character's lines, how much jumping around from scene to scene there is, how you can still catch threads of Andor and Jyn's dropped romantic plot with how they keep giving each other these awkward glances. All those reshoots really hurted the movie overall.

Lola knowing Andor’s end but still being so emotionally distraught about it shows how special the Andor series was and how good Rogue one handled his Finale

The Ship argument scene on Eedu I knew would hit the hardest and your genuine reactions and emotions was everything. The TV series elevated that scene the most imo especially when he talks about losing everything

I just watched Rogue One for the first time since I saw it in theaters so I could watch it along with you guys. Watching with you allows me to see it from a whole new perspective in comparison to the first time. And what have I learned? It is absolutely shocking to me how well Rogue One functions as a bridge between Andor and Star Wars: A New Hope. It sort of drip feeds you the more fantastical, larger-than-life elements of the universe (especially the parts that appear in the original film) while firmly being set in the more grounded Andor vision of that universe. The fact that they were able to do that in spite of the fact that almost no one would experience this journey the way you two have is wild. And honestly? I was worried, because for you two to get full enjoyment out of Star Wars, you need to be able to see the grounded themes that hide behind the fantasy space magic. I know how badly you guys need to see the Empire fall, and I'm pretty confident now that the Original Trilogy films will provide you catharsis.

So I guess you guys will just watch Star Wars Ep 4 A New Hope for next week right? Riiiiggght?🙏🏼 🍻
