2026-02-16 23:24:09 +0000 UTCLola, I have to ruin your day more. Season 3 will not have 28 episodes, even if it will come out in 5 years. The next season will only have 12 episodes, maybe 13 episodes, if we are lucky. And after that we get a movie and maybe after that we will get 28 episodes again. The story in the manga is structured that way. The only other way would be 18 episodes for Season 3 and no movie, but if the trend with chronological canon arcs adapted into movies continues, Chapter 107-119 would be a perfect movie arc.

In the manga, the scene in the mine was just a small spell, about as impactful as the spell to make hot tea in Season 1. And Madhouse was like: "Let's just animate galaxies! :D" https://www.reddit.com/r/Frieren/comments/1r4szto/the_anime_turned_2_panels_into_such_a_beautiful/ Also, you’ve probably already heard, but because of the Olympics, we won’t get a Frieren episode this Friday. So we’ll have to wait another week for 2x06. That would be a perfect time to rewatch 1x1, or maybe even the first four episodes.
