Also worth noting, Perrin looks displeased as well, but she doesn't see it. She only sees that her mom's unhappiness with it.
Mon even says it when talking to Vel about it, because Vel assumes Perrin put her up to it and Mon says that Perrin is surprisingly pretty open minded, aka shares her view of not pushing to old ways on their daughter.

I think at the very end meeting scene with Mon's daughter she looked back and saw how much that meeting disturbed her mother and decided then that that was what she wanted to do. Just like her religion, she's making choices in the furthest direction away from her mother.
