Monster Episode 54 Reaction

I don't think the Eva scene is unbelievable at all. How many of you were in a situation where someone was after you like that? I happen to have been in threatening situations like this, and many people (I would say the majority) genuinely lose 100 IQ points when something like this happens. I've seen it time and time again. You cannot, in the comfort of your home behind a screen, judge someone in a situation like that.

Watch Chainsaw Man episode 1x01. And Frieren episode 1x02. She always hated tomatoes. I'm not sure why :D

Yeah, I agree with you. The Escape felt weird because the police didn’t act normally at all. They didn’t rush to help the injured civilian, and they even took the prisoners out of the transport van to identify the victim or check if he was dead. It was clearly an accident, yet they talked about covering it up in the report. My impression of this whole scene is that it was meant to depict unqualified police officers who aren’t able to handle situations like these. Normally, a prison transport like that would have two officers in the front, and in a situation like this the passenger would be the first to get out. They would also immediately contact headquarters after an incident. Eva’s scene is also problematic. She panics and runs back to her hotel room. It would have been smarter for her to stay among the crowd, though you can’t really blame her for reacting out of fear. But opening the door instead of calling hotel staff or the police is just downright stupid. In my opinion, these were not good scenes from Urasawa. And it’s okay to criticize them.
