Biggest question is:
Midge's addiction inspired Don to abandon the cigarette business, but was it out of real empathy or a shallow ploy to make an ad for the firm itself? ;)

I feel this episode is all about dynamics inverting:
Don takes control back from Lucky's departure
Sally shows she's more mature then Betty
Pete shows he's more responsible then Don
And Midge the painter... sadly heroin takes power over anyone.
