Her move could be less about ambition and more simply that she is attracted to (and wanted) Don in that moment. Again, Don could have held out, especially with Faye in mind. Don: You want to stay? [Faye nods] Don: I'll probably fall asleep on you. “Welcome to my world. Won't you come on in?” I was curious if Faye could sense the presence of another woman [Megan] on Don. Don is selfish. Now, the context (not excuse) is the serious situation with the firm potentially going under. I am sure that Faye could legitimately navigate the ethical constraints to do something for Don w/respect to the business (e.g., in setting up a meeting, provide info, etc.) in this grim time for Don. Roger has a lot of money. He should feel good about that and quit being pathetic. I like how Pete seems committed to the firm.
