We will all have our own definition of what success looks like with money, career, health life and relationships.

But generally speaking, success can be defined as:

Success = Achieving significantly MORE than what you’ve done until this point today.

Success = You significantly outperforming your current self.

1. Loss Of Balance

"Balance" is a term that gets thrown around a lot, but it's often misunderstood.

Society think balance means splitting things evenly, like a 50-50 split between two aspects of life or dividing attention equally among four areas, each getting 25%.

But real balance doesn't always work out to these neat percentages.

That is not what balance actually means. Balance simply means that everything has to add up to 100.

Balance doesn't always mean splitting things 50-50. Sometimes, balance can look more like 90-10, depending on what's needed in a particular situation.

Balance doesn't require every part of your life to get an equal share of your time and energy. It's about finding the right proportions that work for YOUR life because some parts are more important than others.

To reach a significantly higher level of achievement than where you currently stand, it's likely you'll need to embrace being unbalanced for a while.

This imbalance comes from needing to spend more time, money, focus and effort than you're currently investing to achieve your goals.

This focused dedication is a requirement to elevate yourself to the desired level.

Once you reach that point, you can then adjust, redistributing your time and efforts more evenly as you maintain your new status.

This process requires strategic planning.

But t begins with accepting that it's okay to temporarily prioritise certain areas of your life over others.

This allows you to achieve your specific goals. Then after, you'll have the opportunity to realign your priorities and restore balance according to your new situation and circumstances.

The right type of balance does not always mean 50/50

There are no perfect scenarios, only tradeoffs.

2. Isolation

Many of the worries people have about fear and success aren't actually related to the ACTUAL outcomes or the specific steps needed to achieve success.

Most of what I've been discussing in this series doesn't deal directly with the process of creating success or its immediate results.

Instead, it's about the emotions and perceptions surrounding success or the journey to achieving it.

People often ‘imagine’ what success might feel like before they've even started, leading them to talk and think themselves out of pursuing their goals before taking any real action.

It's surprising how often people decide against something without having experienced even a small part of it, simply because of the negative stories in their mind about what the experience will be like.

Most people fall into one of two categories when it comes to trying new things.

1. A large number of people think about doing something, talk themselves out of it with their thoughts, and end up not attempting it at all. They try to do it 0 times.

2. Then, there are those few who think about doing something, try it once, and if it doesn't work out on their first try, they will quit immediately.

When you average everything out (people who never try)  (people who try just once), the result is somewhere between zero and one.

That's the typical number of attempts most people make at trying new things: somewhere between never and just once.

Only the exceptional few will try things more than once.

And usually when it comes to creating anything that looks like success, you'll probably need to try more than once because it's usually not going to happen on the first try unless you happen to be extremely lucky or extremely talented.

- Till next time.
