(ARTICLE) 19 Dating MYTHS Men Have Been Conned Into Believing

1. Just Be Yourself 

You can afford to be yourself if you are attractive enough in the first place. Meanwhile for unattractive people, 'being themselves' will be irrelevant because they will be rejected before they've even had a chance to showcase their personality / character.

When a woman says "Just be yourself", she is not talking about the 95% of the men, she is ONLY talking about the top 5% of men she finds attractive.

If you have a great personality but not getting any luck then this means you need to improve your physical appearance.

Either build muscle or loose the excess weight you are carrying.

Find a hairstyle which suits your head and face shape.

Hygiene and oral hygiene (get a face care routine and look after your teeth)

Dress well and smell good.

2. Just Be Confident

For the most part, your looks IS your confidence.

An attractive man with confidence is displayed as charming and charismatic whilst an unattractive man displaying confidence will be deemed as creepy.

3. Don't worry about it, when you least expect it the right one will come along.

No. No she won't.

4. If She Rejects you, Don't Back Down, Just Try Harder!

If a woman rejects you and you keep trying harder, she will just get angry and annoyed at you for not getting the gist.

If you are rejected, move on. 

5. Just Be Funny

Women will voluntarily laugh at unfunny jokes from guys they find attractive. Meanwhile a joke told by an unattractive guy will be seen as offensive or creepy.

6. Asking Women For Dating Advice

Half the time, women themselves do not know what they are attracted to and even if they do, they won't tell you because they are afraid of offending you and hurting your feelings/ego.

97 out of 100 women will never tell guys the truth when it comes to dating, mainly because it will keep the guy in the friendzone and gives him "hope" that if he was to work on his personality more and try harder, he will eventually have a chance with her. This way she still keeps receiving attention and validation from those guys who deep down will never have a chance.

7. Meet Her Friends / Family ASAP!

Most women (not all) have jealous friends and family who don't really want to see them have a good thing going for them. So when they eventually meet you, they'll have nothing but bad things to say about you in the hopes of her leaving you.

8. Looks Only Get You Through The Door And It's Personality That Makes A Relationship Last.

If you don't maintain your attractiveness, she will loose attraction towards you.

9. Women Love A Dad Bod

This is a lie told by insecure women to make themselves feel better and to give them an excuse not to improve their own well-being.

It is human nature to prefer those who are genetically superior, but not in a superficial way. 

Women want a healthy man with good genes to give them babies of the same kind.

10. Personality Over Looks Because Looks Will Fade

The vast majority of men are struggling in dating because they lack the looks needed to attract women, not because they lack personality.

11. If You Truly Love Her, You Should Forgive Her For Bad Behaviour

Bad behaviour should not be tolerated under ANY circumstance.

Tolerating bad behaviour also shows that a man doesn't love himself because someone who loves themselves would not allow that kind of nonsense to run.

12. Follow Your Heart And Ignore Your Brain

Making decisions based of emotion and feelings can end up causing you to make severe mistakes if you don't think things through properly.

13. Never Tell A Woman She Is Wrong, Women Are Always RIGHT.

If a woman does something wrong and unacceptable, you MUST hold her accountable.

Do not sweep things under the rug and let things slide.

14. Men Care About Looks More Than Women

Women actually care more about looks and are much more picky and selective than men are.

Most men settle for whatever women shows a bit of consistent interest towards them.

15. Money And Status Is What You Need.

This is somewhat true, however UNIVERSITY AGED GIRLS do not really care about a guys money and/status if he is very short, unattractive, balding or overweight.

16. Women Like Intelligent Men

An attractive man who intelligent is seen as smart.

An unattractive man who is intelligent is seen as a nerd/geek.

17. Thinking Expensive Clothes Will Make You More Attractive

Your Level Of Attractiveness = Facial bone structure.

(This is all down to genetics)

The importance of facial features goes 

Eyes > Jawline > Hair > Midface

Men under the age of 20 may not have a fully developed face yet therefore they may not be as attractive.

18. Women Age Like Milk And Men Age Like Wine.

Ageing very badly is mainly down to two things.

A. Genetics

B. Poor lifestyle habits 

More of the latter than the former.

Most people (men and women) get lazy and let themselves go as they age.

19. Women Want A Man Who Is Her "Equal"

Yes, an attractive teenage girl who is unaware of life or her beauty may just happen to get wifed up by a guy who is below her or a guy on her level. I see this a lot with women under 23.

However for the most part, women ONLY date UP in terms of value.

And if there are no men above her who are available, she would rather share him than to date down.

The only exception to this is when a woman will deliberately date down in order to have full control of the relationship.

These MYTHS apply to dating in the west, I have yet to date International women who are from countries where people are much more aligned to their gender roles.
