Oh heck yes - it's finally North Japan's time to shine! Hope you're not all sick of cherry blossom content from the other Japan creators, because I've got a bunch coming up haha.
Here are some photos I've taken over the past few days here in Morioka! The image quality on Patreon here should be high enough if you'd like to use them as a background for your phone or desktop etc π

Just posted a new ~at home with me vlog~ where I went out to see the blossoms for the first time this year! πΈ
Watch here if you haven't seen it yet:

As I mentioned in the video I was hoping Quinlan would be up for checking out the lake area when we hungout, and he was! It was suuuuuper windy and a bit difficult to film, but I'll be looking over the footage today and I'm sure I'll be able to put something together. Worst case it can just be some pretty cherry blossom shots with music πSome of the photos in this post are from that lake!

Maro Update π»
Not gonna lie, the first few weeks were ROUGH. He was great in the day! Seemed super chill, and happy. He was eating a lot, playing with his toys, and wanting to sit on my lap 24/7. But he insisted on waking up at sunrise (4am) ever single day and howling into the abyss until about 9am. He's not much of a meower at all usually, so I'm assuming he was just confused and looking for Luna and his Dad :( I felt so bad because there's not much I can do but give him lots of attention and try to take his mind off it while he settles in. But for the past 3 or so days he's been doing a lot better! Seems more relaxed, and he doesn't howl in the mornings anymore. So I hope this is a sign that he's feeling more comfy and at home.

New Apartment/Office π‘
I'm so so excited about having a space for Ushka and I to run Neko Neko Post from up here in North Japan! I do enjoy my monthly trips down to Tokyo, but as I mentioned in the video, with Maro here now I don't want to be away from home for too long.
There's also going to be space in the new place for me to set up a proper dedicated livestreaming/filming studio space, so I guess that'll be my project for 2021!
I'm so happy that our little business is going well enough that we can afford to rent a space like this, and our next goal is to focus more on developing our own products to sell in the shop and hopefully raise a decent amount of funds for our favourite local cat rescue shelters here in Japanβ€οΈ
Our current project is a postcard series in collaboration with Tokyo-based artist Erica Ward. She specializes in painting cats and Japanese scenery, she's the coolest. We've designed three postcards together so far, and are hoping to have a few more in the series. We've been using a printshop in Kyoto and the quality of the paper and ink is just amazing, I'm sooo happy with how they've turned out! We'll be selling them in pack of 8 for $22usd (w/ free international shippingβοΈ) and $2 from the sale of each pack will be donated to a cat rescue shelter.

πPOSTCARD CLUB NOTICE π
America is being really crap recently and has sent me back a few of the postcards destined for American patrons with no reason as to why. Most of them get through fine, and I can't find any information on why they would be sent back. I put a few of them in an envelope and resent them and it seems one of those has arrived safely so far, I'm so confusedπ So if you're in the Postcard Club and you haven't received your postcard yet, this is probably the issue. If anyone located in the US knows what could possibly be wrong, please let me know! Japan Post didn't know what the reason could be and asked me to contact the local American post offices for more information.
--------------------------------------
I guess that's all for now guys! I hope you had a great weekend, and good luck with the week ahead! π
