Themed Comic Suggestion Thread and News

My recovery has been going well so, to get back into drawing more frequently, for October, I want to do a short comic, around 3 to 5 pages, based on a suggestion (or suggestions) from you, my Patrons. You can post your Halloween comic ideas on this post and I will choose the best one, maybe try to incorporate elements from other suggestions if I can.

In other news, while I was unable to draw as much, I have still been able to work on my writing, preparing to start a longer comic project. Actually, over the past year, I've been working on my writing a lot but most of the stories I tinkered with didn't work out. But that's okay because, with each one, I still learned more about good storytelling.

For example, there was a story I was tinkering with about a couple who are bad at communicating that helped me learn more about giving characters subtext and hidden motives, even though I couldn't decide where the story was going and it wound up kind of running into the ground. And there was a story about a replacement model where I finally wrote what I thought was my first good sex scene, which helped me better understand how to write sexy sex, although, again, I didn't really know where the story would go on that one.

But I learned from those failed stories and the recent character designs I have been posting are for a story I did finish which is basically a sexy sex story. That one I will definitely be posting because I think it's the first really good sexy story I've ever written, although it's not a very deep story and I still need to finish planning the page layouts. I really like this sexy sex story because I think I finally am getting an understanding of how to build sexual tension in a scene so that the action is more exciting. I think it's a bit heavy on the dialogue for a sexy sex story but it works in the context of this story.

Even better, I recently wrote and completed the script for a really good wholesome romance story, which was an even bigger challenge for me. I've tinkered with a dozen romance stories that didn't work out but, somehow, this one came together. I'm really happy with this one. The romance story will be a bigger project than the sexy sex story so I'll start with the sexy sex story first, ideally before the end of the year.

However, before I start on either of those, I need to get back into the habit of drawing more often after my recovery. And focusing on comic page style art seems like a good way to gear up for longer comics.

That's why I want to hear your suggestions for a Halloween comic this year. Like I said, I'm looking for an idea that I can do in 3 to 5 pages. Please do keep in mind the Patreon rules requiring consent so no blackmail or hypnosis but we can do reluctance and seduction and discovering unexpected pleasures. Don't worry too much about trying to keep the story super short because I can always shrink the story by using lots of dense exposition captions, like you used to see in old romance comics from the 1950s. If possible, I will try to incorporate multiple suggestions.

The theme of the comic is simply Halloween so it can be costume parties, spooky monsters, whatever you can associate with Halloween.
