With Juna’s help chairs and a table sprang up from the ground made of roots. She even created a gazebo made of roots as well that had blue flowers growing out of them to give a splash of color.

“I really do not know where to start. After all, I do not know the power of you gods nor do I know who I was in my past life. Just like I told Silas, I am me and I do not care about my past self. But seeing all of you gather here I am not exactly low on the totem pole.” Desaray looked at the new faces that now sat around the table feeling a little troubled. She looked over at her father, who had a worried expression on his face.

“Ar-Desa…” Khione started. “You were as you are on your way to becoming the Goddess of Ice. Although I think this time you will be an Ice Dragon Goddess from the looks of things. Your ability to wield ice was beyond anything Ullr and I could ever accomplish. Your powers were on par with the old man. It was because of this that a higher god, that bastard… I mean, Silas took notice of you.

“Your beauty, your strength. You were on a path to grow even stronger as time went on but…” Khione bit her lip.

“I will continue from here.” Lilith cut in. “You died due to a woman named Vinee. Vinee holds great power in the higher realms. Her family is not something many can stand against. Master tried everything he could to protect you, but he was sent away to rule over the realm of Desolation al, so known as the Underworld. The place where we gods and demigods will go if they die. It is a place where those who had done atrocities will go to be punished for their sins.

“Because of the person who assigned him the task, he has a power that makes it impossible for those who enter that place to defy him. A single word and he can control the strongest of gods.

 “This is not to say he did not have great strength to start with, but he was unable to refuse when asked to take control of the Underworld.

“Vinee took this chance to find you and kill you using her resources and gods who were much stronger than you. She even employed a rouge Celestial to finish the job.

 “I am not saying this to help Master by no means. I am only telling you so that you can get an understanding of who you once were. If these world mergers did not start to happen you would have stayed a mortal and reentered the cycle of reincarnation.” Lilith had hoped to never tell Desaray all of this but it seemed she needed to know. It was best for her to understand her true origins.

“Thank you. While it is an amazing story, it had nothing to do with the current me. I have my father, whom I love dearly and owe my current life to. My friends and family, whom I can honestly say helped me to get to the current state I am in. Without any of them, there would be no Desaray sitting here before you all.” Desaray paused and looked at everyone around the table before smiling. “But I am more than happy to get to know each and every one of you as the person you see before you. New bonds can be formed easily as long as trust can be established.

“That is why, if you wish to gain my trust fully, then I will ask you all to help protect my kingdom. The people here never asked for any of this. None of us wants to go to war with the gods. Those angels were killing our people and came from one of the worlds that merged into this one.

 “All we did was try to protect our own. I see no reason why we must suffer because of that.” Desaray did not understand why they had to suffer because of someone else’s mistake or why the gods even cared what mortals did. It made no sense to her.

“We feel the same. This is why we are here.” Khione smile had never faded since meeting Desaray. She could feel the same feeling she had so many years ago when she conversed with Aria.

“If that is the case then your help is more than welcome. We first need to find the mortals of this world and bring there here for protection. There is also the Fonta we will need to look out for as well. There are many threats and each one of them is putting this world in danger. I do not wish for my home to get destroyed just because some asshole things he can rule lord over us as he wishes.” Desaray had never been so worked up before. She wanted nothing more than to put an end to all of this, even if it meant going to the higher plans and defeating the man who started it all.

“Well said!” Ullr felt like a proud big brother looking at his little sister make such an amazing speech. He was already starting to tear up.

“You can let this idiot here do the manual labor.” Nix kicked her husband to the front. She wanted to make this man make up for his mistakes.
