A woman wearing nothing more than what could be considered a black negligee stepped out of the void. “Rory…. You know I like all of my apostles to be pure. You are no longer pure and even somehow have become filled with life.”

“Your…” Rory shivered, seeing Emroy. She knew the voice quite well but had never seen her. This woman had long black silken hair and deep purple eyes along with her slim yet shapely body, whose skin was white as snow. She was indeed an otherworldly beauty but Tomoya still felt her wives were better.

“Rory, you stay back. I will deal with this.” Tomoya pulled Rory behind her. She would protect her wife from anyone, no matter who it was, even someone trying to play god.

“Emroy, was it? I must ask, is an apostle not allowed to have a life of their own beyond being bound to you?” Tomoya asked as she stepped forward.

“This is no place for a mortal….” Only now did Emroy take a long look at Tomoya. She couldn’t help but frown. “You are not from this world. Just who are you?”

“You are right. I am not from this world. And plan to leave soon. Of course, Rory, who is now my wife, will also be coming with me. She will no longer be your apostle. Emroy’s gaze returned to Tomoya. “Can you not kill Hardy? She is still needed no matter what.”

“As long as she does not try to kill me or my family, I will not touch her. She can come and argue with me all she wants. She would not allow anything to happen to any of her wives.

“Understood. I will try to make this point.” Emroy bid farewell before stepping back through the void. After the void closed, Emroy let out a sigh of relief. “What the hell was that girl!? The pressure she bared down on me with was ten times stronger than anything I have ever felt before!”

Emroy’s body suddenly shrunk down to that of a five-year-old girl, her clothes turning into black onesie pajamas. “I am never going back to the human world again. I will just talk with my apostles from here. I should also warn Hardy. Maybe if I gave her some candy, she would listen….”

The thought of giving up her candy made Emroy feel great pain. To give up her sugar was like death, but she had no choice. If Hardy died, her workload would be greater! “Stupid Rory! Going off and becoming an adult!”

“I… I came to give you candy so you will not chase after Rory anymore…” Emroy took out a single piece of candy… that was half eaten… this was the best she could do!

Hardy looked at the half-eaten piece of candy and shook her head. “I don’t need that. Explain to me what is going on. You never would give up your candy for anything.”
