Ricky was sent flying out of his chair and onto the floor. He, the first son of the Massin family, had been hit by his father for the first time in his life. He looked up in shock and horror. “You hit me!? You hit me for this bitch born from a maid!?”

“Ricky!” Ricky’s mother cried out and quickly ran over to her son. “Henry, I know you are angry, but hitting Ricky will not solve anything!”

“So you will ignore the fact that he called one of my children a bitch and was rude to my two guests!? What the hell are you teaching them!? As of today, Ricky will be denounced as heir to the Massin family. Lilly will take his place.” Henry’s face was purple, and his breathing was ragged. He was a man who meant what he said. He did not wish to hand over the Massin family to a son who could not even see the bigger picture. His jealousy only stemmed from being forced to sit a few seats away from where he normally sat. Henry knew this. But he thought with how he showed such respect to Yuki and Delia that he too would grasp the bigger picture and realize something more was going on!

“What!? Father, are you really going to disinherit me!?” Ricky’s eyes were wide with shock. He never thought he would ever get disinherited.

“Henry! You can not do that! Every household is taken over by the firstborn son!” Ricky’s mother could not stand for it. She did not dare do anything to Lilly but she could not allow a child born from a maid to step over her own flesh and blood. She could not stand for her son to be disinherited.

“I can do as I please since I run this family. I will not allow a child who can not think outside the box to be allowed to take over this family.” Henry was very firm on this. “You both see how I am treating our guests. Lilly was the one who brought them here, so she was placed further up on the table to accompany them. You all need to use your brains and think for a moment. Why would I go against the normal customs of our family to do this? You lack every quality that would make you a good heir, while Lilly, even though her dear mother was indeed a maid, she has at least raised her child to think outside the box.”

“I can do that too!” Ricky yelled out. He had finally gained his composure. “I just think father should be more careful in believing the words of others without proof!”

“An idiot through and through it seems.” Yuki suddenly spoke up. Her voice carried a heavy weight causing the whole room to go silent.

Everyone’s eyes turned towards her as she suddenly stood up. “You think the world revolves around you. Those who think a higher status is something grand have never actually stood at the top. You might think it’s all glory and riches, but it is not. You need to be able to continue to hold that position. Work harder and harder than everyone else to make sure no one else can surpass you.”

“You have no right to butt into family affairs!” Ricky yelled out. He really hated Lilly, and he hated Lilly’s friends even more!

“No, I have every right.” Yuki released her spirit pressure, making everyone in the room sink to the floor. She mainly focused it on Ricky but let enough out to allow everyone to understand she was not to be looked down upon. “I have a right because I am already powerful. I will not allow some little boy who thinks he is all-powerful just because he is some third-circle elite to look down upon me. If I want to be third circle, I only need to take a look at the tunes of the third circle to create it. The first circle I acquired was done so today with in a matter of seconds.

“You called my friend a bitch a few times now, and I wonder. What gives you the right when right now you are the bitch groveling on the floor around me. Each and every one of you must kneel in my presence if I see so fit. If I want you to kneel, you will kneel. If I want you to stand, you must stand. If I ask you to shut your mouth, then never open it again. And if I ask you to stop breathing, then lie down and wait for death. This is what true power is and it is not gained easily. One must try to survive through many trials.

“If you were not your father’s child, I would have already killed you. I usually skin little boys like you alive before hanging you on a pole for everyone to see.” Yuki’s aura began to turn red. Delia quickly got up and placed her hand on Yuki’s shoulder. “That’s enough. He already peed himself.”
