“So soft!” Shino couldn’t help but rub her face all over Tomoya’s tail. Mari was also stroking her other tail but in a much more reserved manner. They were sitting on either side of Tomoya as they traveled down the dirt road.

“Itami, you keep looking in the mirror a lot.” Takeo couldn’t help but notice that Itami was constantly looking up into the rear-view mirror.

“I have no choice. There is no telling what that girl will do.” Itami couldn’t help but notice Tomoya. She was not only very beautiful but also a fox girl! His gaze kept lingering towards her before he even realized it. He had to keep telling himself that she used to be a he! And that same fox girl had a massive harem! He suddenly realized that the tails were probably how she got most of the girls to take notice of her. Just looking at both Shino’s and Mari’s expressions as they cuddled her tails and the satisfied expressions on their faces, he knew. He knew that they would fall one day.

“Are you sure it is just that? There is nothing else special about it? You two are quite close, are you not?” Takeo asked. He had been curious about Itami’s and Tomoya’s relationship since the beginning.

“We are just friends, nothing more,” Itami replied. He was quite aware of what he and Tomoya had. It was just a bros friendship. She did not even treat him as anything more than that.

“Sure, if you say so. With how you stare at her-ouch! Why did you hit me!?” Takeo rubbed his eye. He always got hit once today now he was getting hit again.

“Your mouth will get you in trouble,” Itami remembered how Yue looked at him when he was left alone with her for a few minutes. The feeling of death coursing through his body was something he would never forget. He knew it was a silent warning to never get any ideas about Tomoya.

“I see smoke!” Man A yelled out. Past the rolling plains was a forest with smoke billowing out over the treetops. Itami glanced at Tomoya, who gave him a nod, and without a word, he sent a message back to the others: “We are going to check it out.”

“Roger!” As the other trucks answered him back, Takeo smirked. He felt that Itami and Tomoya were a lot closer than they let on. Little did he know that Itami already knew many of the events he would get embroiled with. He also knew they would help him greatly in his mission, so he was not going to pass them up. The only rule was certain girls were off-limits! In order to assist him, he was forced to promise not to touch certain girls. Why this was he already had a feeling, but he did not state what he was thinking out loud. He did not want to get hit.

They quickly arrived at the scene of a burnt village. There were burned corpses all over the place, as well as blood dried up on the ground. “A dragon?”

“Mm….” Tomoya answered before walking over to the well in the middle of the village. “Itami, rope!”

“I am not your servant!” Itami yelled out but still got the rope and handed it to Tomoya. Tomoya tossed it down and climbed down into the well. At the bottom lay Tuka Luna Marceau, the elf girl from that had daddy issues. Tomoya hoped that teaching her that she could call her daddy all night long would fix this problem.

She gently took Tuka into her arms and, with a stomp, jumped out of the well. “Wow! You really jumped up high!” Takeo yelled out in surprise.

“You can do it too. Climb down I will teach you.” Tomoya had a sly grin on her face as she said this. And Takeo, the gulible man he was believed her.

“Really?” He quickly did as she said. When he reached the bottom, he looked up, waiting for directions, only to see Tomoya pull the rope up and wave at him.

“Now, keep jumping until you finally jump all the way out. Good luck!” Tomoya gave him a gotcha kind of look before turning around and walking away. Shino and Mari both giggled while Itami held his head. The other guys also let out a laugh.

Only Takeo was stuck standing at the bottom of the well, staring up at the sky. “The sky is so small…”

“Hey, frog in the well, when will you start hoping?” Shino made sure to take this chance to pick on Takeo.

“Alright! Throw the rope down and get your asses moving. We need to reach the first settlement and warn them about the dragon!” Itami yelled out. He then turned to Tomoya and said: “please don’t pick on Takeo too much. He’s stupid.”

“I know I am at the bottom of this well, but I could have sworn you are speaking badly about me, Itami!”
