LYWTTA) Magi Tech
Added 2024-04-04 17:25:06 +0000 UTCLilly wondered if these two understood that she could hear every word they were saying. She couldn’t help but shiver at the thought of anyone angering these two. But this also allowed her to feel that she had picked up two people who could help her ward off any problems in the future. As long as she was willing to help them, she would also benefit. Or at least she hoped.
She led Yuki and the others through a three day trip back to a city called Hollen City. It was where her family was located. While there might not be any tenth circle magis here, her father was fifth circle and was considered quite powerful. This was also the same city that Maria was from.
“I go to White Stone Magi Academy. If you are going to end up staying a while and want to learn more about runic circles, I can ask my father to help you get into the academy.” Lilly suggested as they walked up to the gate.
“Miss Massin! The guard bowed his head slightly.” Lilly Massin, her father, Henry Massin, was one of the top elites in the city and was the head of the Massin family. The Massin family owned half the city, making them one of the strongest families in the city. Besides the Massin family, there was the Hendricks family. Maria Hendricks was the daughter of Randel Hendricks.
The Hendricks and the Massin family have been at odds for many years, trying to overthrow each other. They always ended up fighting from time to time. This was especially true for the younger generation hence why Maria wanted to kill Lilly.
Lilly the rising star of the Massin family was seen to be someone who could easily reach the tenth circle in the future. Her father doted on her and was willing to help her gather any resources she needed.
“These two are my friends and have come to help me with something. Please let them pass.” Lilly explained lightly. She did not wish to have any trouble. If Yuki or Delia suddenly got angry, they might destroy her home!
“Understood, any friend of Miss Massin is a friend of Hollen City.” The guard replied with a smile, making his way for the group.
Yuki had been looking around at everything. The city was surrounded by huge metal walls with large cannons perched on top of it. The gate guards had both a gun and a sword. As the gates opened, Yuki and Delia were met with sky-scrapper-like buildings with many people traveling to and fro on hoverboards high in the air. There were even airships that flew by. There did not seem to be any cars at all or anything like that. It was either hoverboards or airships.
“Truly fascinating. How does it work?” Yuki mumbled, which was heard by Lilly.
“The hoverboards and airships are powered by magi source stones and float rocks. Float rocks are strange rocks that, once filled with mana, will float in the air. The more mana they receive, the higher they will float. For moving forward, there are small wind stones that, like the float rocks, will push you forward based on the amount of mana you give it. Magi source stones are stones filled with mana. We have created a way to siphon the mana out of them to allow them to power these rocks. A hoverboard has two small pedals that, when pressed, will send mana to the wind stones and float rocks. The same goes for the airships. But airships, unlike hoverboards that are steered by you leaning your body, the airships are controlled by a steering mechanism that moves the air in different directions.” Lilly seemed very happy to talk about these kinds of technologies. It seemed she really liked the systems aspect of magi tech.
Yuki listened closely to everything she was beign told and felt that the concept was quite simple in design. But it worked quite well. “Then what are the glowing lines that pulsate on them?”
“Those are magi circuits. They glow steadily when mana is being pushed through it but pulsate when idle to conserve mana. They will also change colors based on the amount of mana in the lines. Too little mana will turn the lights red.” Lilly explained.
“Very interesting.” Yuki nodded. She had to admit this was quite a neat system. She found it amazing how different worlds adapt to things differently and will evolve differently as well, especially when it comes to technology.
Yuki might have been in a hospital all her life on Earth, but she was still able to watch TV and see what the outside world was like. And what she was seeing now was more like a science fiction movie than anything close to what Earth had. But these magi based technologies allowed for the world to be cleaner as well. There was no smog in the air or anything like that. The air was clean, unlike some of the cities on Earth. While there was nothing you could do about these things unless you wished to start from scratch, at least during her time alive, she did not look down on Earth’s technology at all because she knew there was probably something better that Earth had than what this world had as well. She just found everything here fascinating.
