LYWTTA) Run-in In the Forest

“Delia, do not expend any spiritual qi unless you have to. While I do have some qi replenishing pills, they will not last long, and the spiritual qi here is quite thin.” Yuki did not like the current situation. There was not much to go by. They only knew they were in a different place. Whether they were in some remote place within the mortal realm or a whole new world, they did not know.

Yuki jumped into the air and looked around. She had no choice but to use a bit of her qi to get their bearings. “I see a town to the east. Let’s head there.”

“Okay.” Delia nodded and the two began walking towards the town off in the distance.

They passed through the field and into the forest. The town was on the other side of the forest, not far from the forest edge from what Yuki could see. She had to keep climbing trees to see their direction.

Boom!

“Hahaha! Lilly, you dare to escape!?” A loud voice rang out through the air followed by more explosions.

“Maria, if you have the ability, you can go into the monster den as well!” Another voice entered Yuki and Delia’s ears.

Yuki looked at Delia, and Delia looked at Yuki. The two girls understood what the other was thinking right away. Since they ran into people, it was best to go say hi! Yuki and Delia both charged toward the place where the explosion was coming from. When they arrived, they saw two girls. One was standing on what looked like some kind of hoverboard, but with how it had neon lights on it that flashed every now and then, along with their clothing that Yuki could only see as something she would see people wearing in futuristic sci-fi movies she could tell that this world was highly advanced.

The other girl was currently lying on the ground clutching something in her arms, leaning against a tree while glaring at the girl on the hoverboard. Her hoverboard was stuck in the dirt, sticking straight up with the lights flickering as if they were about to go out.

“Lilly you are not so powerful now, now are you?” The girl on the hoverboard asked as she slowly flew over to the girl on the ground whose name seemed to be Lilly.

“Maria, if you kill me, you know my father will never let you off!” Lilly gritted her teeth. She hated to admit it but Maria was actually much more powerful than her now. “Even if you have entered the second circle at your age, my father is still a fifth circle magi!”

Yuki raised an eyebrow at the word, magi. “Seems this world is built on magic. And it seems this area, fifth circle, is quite high in power.” Yuki could tell this because the girl named Maria had slight hesitation in her eyes.

“Humph! We are in a place with no eyes, how would anyone know that I killed you?” Maria felt like she could get away with this. As long as Lilly disappeared her path would be set in stone.

“But there are many eyes here.” Yuki used her transformation technique to turn human as she stepped out of the tree line. Sadly, she did not have any clothes to match this world. Behind her, Delia had done the same.

“Who!?” Maria turned to see two young women walking out from behind the trees wearing strange robes. She had never seen such people before, but she knew one thing: These two people were not even the first circle magis! “Since you have appeared, you can also die. No one must know what happens here today!”

“So you wish to kill us?” Yuki snorted and drew her sword. “Since you want me to die then I will not hold back.”

She did not want to use her spiritual qi but to deal with the situation at hand and make use of this chance to gain information about this world so she would save Lilly. Yuki released her spirit pressure. Before the girl on the hoverboard could even react, she had been slammed to the ground and a sword was now placed on her neck.

“Tenth Circle!” Maria's eyes widened. She had heard stories that only those of the tenth circle and above could produce such a feat using mana to pressure someone.

“Tenth Circle? Sorry, no idea what you are talking about. Anyway, since you wanted me dead, I will do the same to you.” Yuki did not hesitate to stab down, but just before her blade pierced the girl’s thin neck, A voice called out from behind her.

“Don’t kill her! If you do we will not be able to get away with it. A few people know that we came to this forest for a mission.” Lilly replied. “They do not know that both of us went on the same mission, but our friends do. If they investigate they will easily find out what happened here using Past Sight magic.”
