IGSAGCSAWAYSH) Exploring Freesdale Part 2

“Really!? Thank you!” The little skeleton girl was very happy. It could be seen in her actions. She even did a little twirl to show how happy she was. Shizuku did not find the little girl scary or disgusting. She may be a skeleton but since she could talk and react like this, Shizuku saw her as nothing but a little girl from another race.

“Hehe. Since you are so cute, here’s two gold.” Shizuku couldn’t resist. She handed the shocked Skeleton girl two gold coins after receiving her flowers. “Kids should go out and play. So take this extra gold coin and buy yourself something good.”

“Miss, this is too much!” The man at the stall where the little girl was standing out rushed forward. He looked very panicked. He was not a skeleton but more of a zombie. But strangely, even with the rotting flesh, he did not smell at all. “My daughter doesn’t need so much money….”

“It’s fine. She’s cute. And cute girls get rewards. This is a rule of law.” Shizuku replied with a smile. “Just take it. I hope the next time I see her, she will be wearing prettier clothes, maybe a nice sun hat.”

“This…. Thank you. Thank you so much.” The little girl’s father bowed his head.

“Th-Thank you!” The little skeleton girl stepped forward and gave Shizuku a hug. This made Shizuku’s smile deepen.

“No, thank you for showing me that this world is not all bad,” Shizuku replied as she gently hugged the girl. “Take care. I hope to see you again someday.”

“Byee!” The little skeleton girl waved her bony hand back and forth as Shizuku and the others left.

“She was very kind.” The father of the little skeleton girl smiled. “We have to make sure we get you all kinds of good stuff with that extra gold coin. It’s your reward for being so cute.”

“Lishia, is it possible for the undead to have children?” Miyumi asked. She had been curious about this since they had seen the man and little girl together.

“No. They either died together or just formed a family together. Undead can not produce offspring. They are the result of magic infusing into their bodies. They do mature over time, so that little girl and her father probably have just recently died. Or at least the little girl did. She still has a young child’s mind. While she may not grow unless she evolves, she will mature mentally.” Lishia explained.

“So undead evolve?” This was something new to Shizuku. She wondered if it was like how vampires can rank up.

“Yes, it can take thousands of years, but they do eventually evolve. They will grow bigger if they are young, and after many evolutions, some will even regain their flesh and blood and become liches.” Lishia had met many different undead in her years of travel. But never met a lich herself. They were said to be the rulers of the undead kingdom.

“I lich huh? I am sure they much be very powerful.” Shizuku smiled. She hoped that one day, that little girl would grow up to become a lich as well.

“But I must say you adapt quite well. You were not surprised at all when seeing an undead. In fact, you were extremely kind to them.” Lisha had noticed that there was no hesitation in Shizuku’s actions she just went forward and interacted with them as if they were normal living beings.

“Why wouldn’t I be kind to them? I do not care what race you are as long as you are kind to me, I will be kind back. Plus, wasn’t she cute?” Shizuku asked with a bright smile. She really did find the little skeleton girl quite cute.

“That she was,” Lishia replied with a smile of her own. She was glad that Shizuku was the way she was. Kind to a fault, but she was fine with covering that fault.

The girls walked around for a bit, checking out the different stalls. This was the first time, Shizuku ever walked the streets in this world with out being stared at. It was very relaxing.

“It’s nice here.” Mei suddenly spoke up. She seemed more relaxed than normal.

“It truly is. Its as if we finally belong some place. The air is clean the people are kind. This is truly a good place. Lishia, is the capital like this as well?” Shizuku wondered if the capital is any different. Because if it was she would rather stay here then go to other places.

“It is the same in most places with the capital. But like all cities, there will be bad areas and good areas. Just stick to the good areas.” Lishia had a point. Shizuku knew this well.

“Then, after a break here to spend time in the library, let’s head to the capital.” Shizuku wanted to get to know more about this world and even find some books on apothecary. She needed a source of income besides just being an adventurer. While it did pay good she still wanted something to do in her off time. Since right now she was in no rush to level up.
