LYWTTA) Mother And Daughter Part 3

In a blood-covered sect, a white crane flew down and landed in Nana’s hands. “Nana, I found my mother. I will be bringing her back to the sect; you all stay safe. I will meet back up with you soon.”

“To think her mother was still alive.” Nana smiled warmly. “I am happy for her.” But at the same time, she felt saddened. Her own parents were missing, and she had yet to see any signs of any dragonkin.

“I am sure we will find some of your people as well, Nana. So just hold on a bit longer.” Silvia tried to comfort Nana. She knew Nana was also looking for her own people.

“If they are alive, great, but….. If not, it is not like I am without a family. I have Yuki and all of my sisters now. You all care about me and show me warmth. I feel blessed to have you all at my side.” Nana smiled as she looked at the people around her. She truly did feel blessed by the heavens to have people who love and care for her.

“And we love you!” Delia jumped on Nana and hugged her from behind. She then whispered in the dragon girl’s ear: “When this is all over, Yuki and I will watch as you three girls cultivate. So make sure you make all kinds of cute sounds, okay?” With a nibble on the ear, she let Nana go and hopped backward a few steps.

Nana blushed and nodded her head. “We will put on a good show for YUKI.” 

“Haha! Right!” Delia let out a laugh. She knew that Nana truly only loved Yuki in her heart, but that did not mean she did not have familial love for the rest of them.

Inside, her immortal cave, Yuki set her mother down into a waiting bath. Chi had also received a paper crane and got things set up for her. Fuka looked up at her daughter with eyes still plastered with tears, unable to pull her gaze away. She felt that if she did, her daughter would disappear again.

“Mother, just relax.” Yuki gently stroked the top of her mother’s head as she began cleaning her body. “Everything is in the past now. When the sect master arrives, he will wipe away all the bad memories. You will be able to live a new life without worrying about the past.”

“Yuki… your father….” Fuka shivered as she spoke. Yuki wrapped her arms around her and kissed her cheek. “I know. You do not need to think about anything.”

Due to Yuki’s gentle tone and her warmth, Fuka slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep. Yuki took this chance to wash her body and clean her wounds. When she was done, she dried her mother’s hair and brushed her tail before putting her into bed.

At that time, the Yuki’s sect master arrived. “Are you sure you want me to do this? If I do, there is no going back.”

“Yes. She had been tormented and raped all this time. I can not allow her to continue to suffer. By wiping away these memories and replacing them with fake ones, she can continue living on. While we will keep the fact that my father died protecting her, we will have it so she was rescued by you and brought here. This way, she will not suffer any trauma. However, she might become slightly reliant on you. I am sorry.” Yuki knew this was a possibility. But there was nothing she could do. She would rather her mother be reliant on her sect master than be stuck having nightmares for the rest of her life.

“It’s fine. I do not mind. You have done so much for the sect and myself. I am willing to take on any kind of burden you ask of me.” The sect master replied with a smile. “I consider you family, so do not think you are putting a heavy burden on my shoulders.”

“Thanks.” Yuki smiled before gazing at her mother with a worried expression. She gently caressed her mother’s head as she said softly: “When you wake, your nightmare will be over.”

Yuki gave her mother a kiss on the forehead before saying: “I am off to meet with them. I leave the rest to you. If she asks, just tell her I went out on a mission. I do not want to worry her.”

“Understood. Be careful.”  Yuki’s sect master patted Yuki on the head before going to work. Yuki only gave one last look at her mother before leaving. 

As soon as Yuki left, Fuka opened her eyes, catching Yuki’s sect master by surprise. “That girl is doing something dangerous…. I know you will erase my memories. I heard it all. But please, protect that child. She has already lost enough.”

“Madam, do not worry. Yuki is like a granddaughter to me. I will use my life to protect her, but…. Right now, she is more powerful than anyone else in the mortal plane. So you do not need to worry. Your daughter has grown up to be an amazing cultivator who has done much for me and the sect. From now on, just live out your days in peace. We will handle everything for you.” Yuki’s sect master replied.

“Thank you….” Fuka closed her eyes, feeling at ease. “You may begin….”
