The movement was all under Tomoya’s control, with the great sage helping out in emergencies. Tomoya could also retake control of her right arm if needed as well. Since the great sage was merged with Tomoya, it was able to harness complete control over all of her skills. It even was able to bypass the restrictions placed on her body, giving the great sage even more power.

“Great sage…. No…. Let’s give you a proper name, shall we? Ciel, don’t kill him right off. We just need to weaken him. If I suck him up and I can evolve my predator skill.” Tomoya did not like calling Great Sage the Great Sage since she knew that it would one day evolve into Ciel.

“Understood… Registering new name as Ciel… Great Sage skill evolution is now possible. Will pause evolution until after the battle. The great sage, now Ciel, replied, which surprised Tomoya. She did not think giving the great sage a name so early would cause it to evolve. 

She did not know what it would evolve into, but she hoped it would not be splitting from her body just yet. “Alright, let’s hope you get a cool new upgrade. Watch my back, partner.”

“Understood,” Ciel replied robotically.

“It’s complete…. I guess I will go kick it.” Tomoya grinned and licked her lips. It had been a while since she had a good fight. She shot forward while Ciel began casting protection magic on Tomoya and buffing her abilities. Since Tomoya had Grand High Magic, there was no magic she could not cast. Ciel was using Tomoya’s memories as a means of creating the spells. By the time Tomoya reached the newly evolved demon lord, Tomoya’s leg was already wrapped in a layer of wind magic as it sliced through the air. The two worked in perfect sync. Tomoya did not feel as if her right arm had been taken over. Ciel was moving it according to her thoughts for her, allowing it to feel more natrual while using her fingers to craft the magic circles needed for her spells. This feeling was far beyond anything Tomoya had ever imagined. 

Tomoya's leg landed on the demon lord's stomach, making it cave in and sending it flying. Tomoya formed multiple magic circles with one hand while her other hand did the same, crafting different magic circles. In an instant, thousands of magic circles formed in the air. “Go!” Tomoya’s and Ciel’s voices overlapped. The magic circles all glowed brightly before firing off a barrage of both fire and wind arrows.

*Booom!*

The combination of the two spells exploded when they hit their target. “Damn! Did we kill it!?” Tomoya did not want it to die! 

“Scanning….. The orc lord, now demon lord, is still alive but will die if we attack it once more.…. It seems I miscalculated your original strength…” Ciel replied. Sounding slightly depressed.

“It’s fine. Let’s use predator and suck it up. I want to evolve it into gluttony.” Tomoya just wanted to get the skills needed to merge predator into gluttony.

“Understood.” This was Tomoya's first time using this skill, so as her body suddenly liquefied and stretched to cover the defeated demon lord, she felt it was all a new, strange sensation. 

“You know… I wonder if I ate a piece of Remmi, I would get the rest of her skills as well. Ciel, what do you think?” Tomoya asked out of curiosity.

“Possibility is high,” Ciel replied without needing to even think about it.

“Then I will ask for a fingertip later.” Tomoya wanted to see if she could get rid the nullification abilities that Remmi had. It would come in handy later on. “But for now….”

Tomoya’s body was now covering the demon lord pulling it into herself. The feeling was really strange, but she could also feel that the process was rather quick. In no time at all, her body was back to normal, and in the pit that was still smoldering from the attack earlier, Tomoya now stood. 

She stretched her arms, now back in her control, and let out a relaxed sigh. “Ciel, we make a good team.”

“It did go well…. I will now begin evolution….” Ciel replied before going silent.

“You could have asked beforehand if I was okay with it….” Tomoya pursed her lips before walking back towards the crowd. The effects the orc lord had over the other orcs were now gone, and thousands of them stood there unsure what they should be doing. 

“Tomo!” Shion came running over and slammed into Tomoya, hugging her tightly. 

“Shion… too tight….” Tomoya was trying to breathe, but the one was hugging her neck to the point that it was about to break. 

“Shion, let go, or you will kill Tomo, then neither I nor Shuna will ever forgive you.” Remmi came over and pushed her way in between the two, pulling Shion off Tomoya.

“Ah! Sorry, I just was happy that Tomo was safe.” Shion blushed. She did not mean to harm Tomoya. She was just happy.

“Alright, let’s get things under control. We have a lot to do. All orcs are to be captured. No more killing today. There has been enough bloodshed already.”
