ACFGTTM) The Battle Starts Part 1

Tomoya hated the fact that she had to let things continue as is to keep the flow of the story going for the time being. But for now, she had no choice. She needed to let Remmi grow, and she needed to work on getting more waifus. This world was just full of them.

As they made their way through the forest, Remmi seemed content with riding on Tomoya’s shoulders. Everyone was making their way to the lizardmen’s territory so that they could talk about an alliance first before confronting the orcs.

After traveling through the woods, Tomoya suddenly heard the sounds of fighting not too far from them. “Remmi, hold on.” 

“Tomo?” Remmi was confused but did as she was told. 

Tomoya took off running since she knew what was waiting for her. Instead of letting Souka see Souei coming to her rescue, she wanted to be the one to rescue Souka. She had to make an impression on the girl before Souei’s handsome looks did. In other words, she was planning to make Souei a cuckold. 

“Tomo, there!” Remmi pointed at the lizardman, who was lying on the ground with an orc hovering over her. 

“On it!” Tomoya raised her hand and let a streak of lightning shoot out. It hit the orc, frying him on the spot. She soon arrived at Souka’s side. “Are you okay?”

“I-I am fine…. May I ask who you are?” Souka asked. She had never thought she would end up meeting someone so powerful.

“My name is Tomoya, and this here is Remmi. We are actually on our way to the lizardman tribe.” Tomoya replied. “Did something happen? Why are you here?”

“My…. My brother, Gabiru, rebelled. My father has been locked up. I came here hoping I could meet with you. My brother seems to want to defeat the orc with his own power. But…..” Souka did not know what to do.  

“Alright. Then, from this moment on, I will be designating you as the sub-leader of your tribe. Are you willing to form an alliance?” Tomoya asked.

“Yes! Of course!” Souka did not hesitate at all to answer.

“Good. Souei, I want you to go help out her father. She will come with us; I will protect her since I am sitting this out.” Tomoya decided to keep Souka at her side as much as possible. If she got too close to Souei, then she might fall for him, and he might fall for her. This Tomoaya did not wish for. “I guess I will have to show her a different path…. Oh! Endo…. Can train her group.” 

With this thought in mind, Tomoya knew she could create an even better ninja squad. Endo was an amazing assassin, after all.  With her mind set on who would train Souka, Tomoya ordered everyone to keep marching. Souka followed behind Tomoya as they walked over a bunch of dead orcs that Benimaru and the rest killed. Souka couldn’t help but feel surprised at how easily they defeated these orcs.

A while later, they arrived at the massive battlefield. Tomoya saw Gabiru fighting skillfully and wondered why such an idiot could fight but not think? “Alright, Remmi, you fly up and watch over the others, Benimaru….” Tomoya grinned as she looked back at him. “Go get your revenge.”

“Thank you, Tomoya-sama!” Benimaru charged forth with the others. Shion made sure to stop and kiss Tomoya’s cheek before chasing after him. The entire group of oni had charged straight into battle.

“You…. You will not fight?” Shouka asked.

“No. If I fight, it would end quickly, yes, but Benimaru and the rest would not get their revenge, and Remmi would not be able to learn anything either. But don’t worry, I won’t let that idio…. I mean, I won’t let Gabiru die.  I promise.” Tomoya almost had a slip of the tongue. Luckily, it did not seem Shouka mind. The girl probably thought that Tomoya was right.

“You do not need to hide it. My brother is an idiot.” Souka replied with a defeated sigh. She did to know what to do with her brother since he was so easily influenced by those around him.

“You know he came to my village and tried to recruit us, right?” Tomoya asked, but this resulted in a shake of Souka’s head. “Well, he did, and then he got beat up by Gabta.”

“For some reason, I can see that happen.” Souka giggled but quickly covered her mouth. “Sorry…. I know I shouldn’t laugh when so many are dying.” 

“It’s fine to laugh in tough times. It can help sometimes. Well, you need not worry anyway. Gabiru will not die, nor will anyone else. As long as I am here, no one will die. ” Tomoya did not know how many lizardmen died in the original story, but for now, she planned to keep those alive, alive. Otherwise, she would have a harder time getting Souka to look up to her.
