ACFGTTM) Preparing For War

Back in the meeting room, everyone gathered together, including Kaijin and Rigurd. “So what are our plans now?” 

“With Souei going to talk about an alliance with the lizardmen, we can try to work with them if they accept to try to slow the orc’s movement. But we have to be ready for the unexpected as well. Kaijin is already working on armor, but at the rate things are going, we will not be able to send our own people out except for a small squad. Our problem is we lack a large enough force to work with. But what we lack in numbers, we gain strength. I think with a small team, we can easily deal with the situation.” Tomoya knew in the story that they only moved a small force, and it was enough. After all, why would you need a massive army when you have some of the most powerful monsters in the world standing before you?

“Your words make a lot of sense.” A voice suddenly filled the room as a figure appeared out of nowhere. 

“Who are you!?” Shion quickly got up and stepped in front of Tomoya protectively. The person she would have protected first was Remmi, but even Remmi was standing in front of Tomoya with her sword drawn.

“Calm down. This is Treyni. The overseer of the Jura Forest.” Tomoya placed her hands on Shion’s and Remmi’s shoulders, gently telling them to back down. 

“You are well informed.” Treyni looked at Tomoya and nodded her head before introducing herself. “As you have heard, my name is Treyni, and I oversee this forest. I have come today to ask for your help.”

“You want us to fight the orc lord, correct?” Tomoya asked.

“Orc lord!?” Kaijin cried out. “Tomo, what do you mean?”

“Don’t you find it funny? The orcs are wearing armor and marching non-stop. What provisions would they have with such a massive army? Benimaru, if I am not wrong, the people of your home….” Tomoya did not finish her sentence since she knew it was a sensitive topic.

“I am not sure. I will need to ask Souei.” Benimaru replied. “But I do believe even if we went back now, there would be bodies left.” 

“You are correct. An orc lord has appeared.” Treyni confirmed.

“Well, Treyni, my name is Tomoya; this here is Remmi. You want us to deal with the orc lord, which is fine. We already planned to deal with it.” Tomoya explained. “You see, these orcs destroyed my friend's home, so I can not allow them to just sit around and do nothing. They need their revenge, after all.”

“I am glad to hear that. But Tomoya-sama, may I ask, who are you exactly?” Treyni’s question confused everyone there. Tomoya did not hide her origins in this world so everyone present knew who she was, but Tomoya had a feeling that Treyni was not talking about where she came from but why she was in this world to begin with.

“Just a traveler who has come to break the cycle,” Tomoya explained lightly.

“I see… I hope we can talk more in-depth at a later time.” Treyni moved and sat down at the table and began eating snacks.

Tomoya chuckled and rubbed the top of Remmi’s head. “At any rate, we will need to wait for Souei to see what the lizardmen have to say and what their stance is. If they are willing, we will move out immediately. But just so you know, I will sit out this fight and let Remmi take the lead. She needs practice on live targets. But don’t worry, I will be sure to jump in if anything dangerous happens. Like, say, a demon lord shows up.”  

“I thank you for that.” Benimaru bowed his head. He had a feeling if Tomoya did attack, the entire clan of orcs would be wiped out instantly. Then, he would not have a chance to vent his anger.

“Remmi will hold off attacking unless you all need help. But if she does help, do not think it is because you are weak. It is because we do not wish to lose any of you. A battlefield is a place where we do not know what will happen. We will all go out and return. No deaths allowed. Is that understood?” Tomoya looked at everyone in the room. Seeing them all nod, Tomoya let out a relieved sigh. Things in this world were already changing. She did not wish to lose anyone just yet.

Tomoya knew she would need to spend a long time in this world. She did not wish to move things along too quickly. While she could easily bang a bunch of girls and impregnate them all, she did not wish to do so. There were quite a few characters she planned to take in, and in order to do that, she needed to take things slowly. This was why she was protecting Remmi’s womb when they had sex and why she would do the same to all the girls she slept with for a while. She was in no hurry to gain anything new except from Milim. She wanted to see what kind of skills she would get from Milim.
