Human Base Part 2

The whole place looked like a place out of a 1960s movie or that game, Something Out. It was as if time had frozen in this place. However, this could be some kind of secret testing grounds as well. Who knows. And to be honest, I couldn’t care less either. I just want to make sure there was nothing bad going on here.

I walked around and inspected the houses. All I found was empty fridges that dated back to the sixties, along with furniture from the same era. It was not until I reached one of the houses in the middle that I finally found something interesting. “An elevator? And power?”

I grinned as I stepped inside. I took out a tablet and connected it to the control panel. After hacking it, I pressed the button for the first floor. I am sure this is setting off plenty of alarms. The security here was not all that good, so I am thinking this place was heavily guarded on the outside. 

I made sure my barrier was up before the doors opened, and sure enough, I had multiple guns staring at me as it did. “Hello?” I tilted my head to the side and tried my best to make a cute expression while looking clueless.

“It’s her! Arrest her!” A familiar voice entered my ears. I turned to see a man with a crew cut and big muscles walking towards me. If I wasn’t gay, I might say he was cute, but well. I’m gay, so he’s not.  

Although I should put on my acting skills, I pointed my finger at myself and, as cute as possible, said: “You are going to arrest me? What did I do? Why are you all pointing guns at me?”

“What do you mean what did you do!? You just broke into the base after I told you to leave!” The man yelled. He seemed quite mad. His face was very red. I do wonder how mad I can make him.

“But you were the one who told me how to enter…” I replied with a pitiful smile. I forced some tears from my eyes as I continued: “You said if I came down here, you would give me some food and water. You said… Snifff… Sniff… As long as I was willing to do this and that….. I would….” 

“You! You! I never said that!” Everyone there turned and looked at the man with strange expressions. I lowered my head and let the crocodile tears fall to the ground. I did not plan to let up. It was too much fun!.

“But…. You said… I only came down to get food and water… I… I… Do you know how much courage it took for me to come down here? And now…. Guns….” My tears streamed down my cheeks like a waterfall. The soldiers who had their guns on me slowly lowered them. The man who yelled at me earlier looked as if he was about to have a heart attack.

“You lie! I never said any of that!” The man yelled once more. He then turned to the others and yelled out. “Are you not going to arrest her!?”

“Arrest who?” My voice came from behind him. It was time to end the fun, sadly. I kicked the man to his knees and pointed my gun to his head. “Don’t move, or I will kill him.”

“You? Who are you!? How did you move…. Ahh!” I didn’t want to listen to this man anymore, so I kicked him and stepped on his head. 

“Can you not talk? Ever since I talked to you before, you have been very rude. I want to know a few things. If you answer my questions, I might let you live.” I pressed the man’s head onto the ground so hard I knew if I used any more strength, it would be a bloody mess.

“Miss, please let the commander go.” One of the soldiers said while pointing his gun at me again. This was followed by the other seven soldiers. 

“Your gun can not do anything to me, so do not even try,” I said with a snort. “I am the one asking questions. All of you here just need to answer me. What is this place? Are you forcing women to become breeders here?”

“Breeders?” The soldier looked at me in confusion. “Miss, this is just a bunker, nothing more.”

“Just a bunker? Do you think I am stupid? Did you not see the town above that is basically stuck in time? Let me say this now. Not only can I kill this idiot easily, but I can kill all of you as well. Now tell me, what is this place?” As far as I can tell, this was no breeder base. My assumptions were all wrong. I think this place was tossed together quickly, but they ran out of time before the heat hit. Not to mention the metal walls. While they might give some defense, if you do not have someone taking out the spiders, then you would lose your entire defense in a single night. Which meant only one thing…. 

“Where is the phase tech?” I asked coldly.
