TOBMW 43) Little Demon (Unedited)

Kori stared at the scene before her. A man she had known for many years now was beheaded by the little girl she thought she needed to protect. His most advanced spell that was able to black a tenth floor boss attack was easily handed by her. It was as if she was a boss herself. “Aeko, am I dreaming? Did the little girl just become a demon?”

“Pfft! Hahaha! Demon.” Yuu burst out laughing she thought this was quite funny. The little girl was closer to being a demi god than a demon. She was nowhere close to the pure raw strength of a demon that even true gods have a hard time dealing with.

“I do not see what is funny!” Kori yelled out with a snort. She was truly worried about Myu.

“I think since the beginning that Myu was not all there. She excels in combat and has no issues with burning people. She showed no emotion the last time she confronted Dio, and this time, she seemed to find the battle to be thrilling to the point that she seemed crazy. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. What matters is that Myu is safe and sound. Even if those climbers came and tried to gang up on her, I think they would all become ash.” Aeko was starting to understand Myu. She did not harm those close, but she also did not care about those she did not know.

This was why she could easily burn the forest down. Aeko believed that in Myu’s mind, the climbers inside the forest were no different from the monsters she had to kill. She was not someone who could be easily controlled. She would do as she pleased if not around those who she trusted and listened to. Aeko also felt that this was good. Because if she was easily manipulated, she would end up killing half the people in Uruk. She had enough power to level the entire city, and with how she was basically immortal, there would never be anyone who could stop her.

“I guess you are right….” Kori hated to admit it, but Myu was like a bird. She could fly where and when she wanted. She had no chains to bind her. She was someone who could come and go as she pleased.

“Hmmm?” Myu heard voices not too far off. She turned to see Kori and Aeko standing there and smiled like a flower. “Kori! Aeko!”

Myu waved her little hand and began to run over to the two but stopped and turned to look at Dio’s headless body. Her nose wrinkled as she waved her hand once more, causing the entire head and body to burst into flames. Only then did she run through her flames over to the two. “Why are you here?”

“Why!? You ask a silly question, little one! Do you not realize in just the matter of a day, you have basically turned all the guilds against you!? You killed quite a few people in a short amount of time!” Kori scolded. She needed to teach Myu what was right and what was wrong.

“So?” Myu did not understand. Why would killing others make people mad? They started it, so it was their fault.

“You burned many people in the forest on the second floor!” Kori could see the confused expression on Myu’s face, which was making her lose her patience a little. She needed to get through to Myu somehow.

“Hmm? I only killed people who attacked me.” Myu still did not understand. She did not remember burning anyone except those who attacked her.

“In the forest that you burnt down were hundreds of climbers.” Aeko decided to step in. She could see Kori was having issues trying to get through to Myu.

“Ah!” Myu finally understood. “But how is them burning to death my fault? Did I tell them to touch my flames? I only set the forest on fire. I had to kill tree monsters for my quest. It’s not like I can kill three hundred of them in a short time without setting it on fire. So I sent my flames out. Those who touched my flames are at fault for not dodging.”

“Three hundred!?” Aeko cried out. Why did the tower make Myu kill three hundred of them? She would have done the same! That number was crazy for the first quest.

“Mmm… So it’s not my fault.” Myu had already judged her actions as just. She lit the forest on fire and killed ents. If climbers died, it was their own fault for being weak and not getting out of the way.

Kori could not argue with Myu’s words since they made sense. If they were smart, they would have escaped the flames. Kori rubbed her head for a moment before asking. “Myu, how did you light the forest on fire?”

“I stretched my hands out and lit the left and right sections of the forest on fire and then pulled the fire towards me.” Myu motioned with her hands and made a horseshoe shape with her arms as she explained. Aeko held her head. It was true that Myu left an opening for them, and if the climbers were smart, they would have run for it, but with the speed of Myu moving her arms around, those flames probably were not slow in the slightest as they reached the edge of the forest. Which meant anyone trying to escape would not be able to. She sighed and decided not to point this fact out.
