TDGA) The New World Part 1(Unedited)

“Yes… Ummm… Thank you….” Apple Girl bowed her head slightly. No idea why she is thanking me. Well, now that I think about it, I guess I did save her? Maybe I killed her lovers? Was she that kind of Apple Girl? The kind that welcomed all? 

“Mmm…, if you are hungry, catch your own fish.” I was not going to serve her food. I have my own rules! A shut in never waits on others!

“Ah, I am fine with food…” Apple Girl waved her hands back and forth in front of her. I guess she thinks my fish are bad? Well, whatever, as long as she is not asking me to cook for her in a few days. 

“I do not know what you have planned, but you can stay at my house for tonight.” Since I saved her, I guess I should at least give her a place to stay for the night. Whether or not she will get home after that is up to her, I guess.

“Your house?” Apple girl looked around. I think she was finally taking a good look at the place because her eyes widened when she looked over and saw all my workmanship. It might not be the best, but it was still quite amazing!

Alice was surprised to see the nets and the wooden railing that allowed you to walk behind the waterfall. She noticed quite a few things that she never thought a lizard, or dragon as the monster had called themselves, would ever be able to make. Yet here one was, sitting in the middle of the most dangerous forest in all of Hidigrade, The Forest Of Lost Souls. 

She watched as the so called dragon stood up and waved her over. Alice was nervous as she knew this dragon was powerful, so she did not want to anger it. She timidly followed after the blue scaled dragon around the pond and up the bridge that led behind the waterfall. 

There she was stunned to find a cave that was quite clean. There was only the rocky ground but no bits of rocks to be seen. While still slightly damp, it was nothing compared to what she was expecting.

“My humble abode!” I stated proudly, sticking my paws on my hips. I looked over at Alice, who was looking around in awe, at least, I think she was finding the place fascinating well, in any case, it was my home! Outsiders can die and rot in hell if they think it’s ugly! “I do not have much, but you can share my bed with me tonight. Sadly I do not have a guest area set up yet. But I guess I should make one.”

Apple Girl was staring at me in a daze. I wonder if she is basking in my greatness. I hope she doesn’t start worshiping me. While yes, I am the great and powerful ice dragon, I do not want worshippers unless they plan to give me a computer with the internet. So I can play brain craft again. I wonder if they have internet or not. 

Looking at Apple Girl, her clothes do not look too old fashion, but it is still a dress. But it looks like a cross between a medieval and modern style. So I am not too sure how advanced this world really is. Well, since I got company tonight, I can pick her brain a bit. I walked over to the small fire pit I had set up near the bed and set some wood down. I then used ignite to get it going to warm the air. 

After sitting down on my bed, I patted the side next to me, in which Apple Girl hesitantly sat down. I guess she is nervous. I probably would be, too, if I was suddenly standing in front of an ice dragon.

“This….” Apple Girl patted my makeshift mattress in amazement. Of course, she would because it is soft! “Umm….”

“Shrio,” I answered. I saw no reason not to let her know my name.

“Ah, Shrio…. My name is Alice.” Hmmm, did she not expect me to have a name?

“So, Apple Girl, can I ask you a few questions?” I really wanted to know more about this world. I just got here, so the more information I could get, the better. 

“Apple Girl?” Apple Girl looked at me confused, which was strange since that was her name, right? “Ummm… my name is Alice, not apple or apple girl.”

“Right, Apple Girl.” Hmmm? Why did she seem depressed all of a sudden? She looks like she has given up on life. Well, not that it matters. “So where am I?”

“Where are you? Well, this is the Forest Of Lost Souls. Although, while this is pretty far into the forest, this area seems to be lacking in monsters.” Apple Girl replied.

“Ah, I ran into an army of slimes the other day. I fell asleep while they were attacking me, and when I woke up, they were all dead.” I explained. I do wonder if there were other monsters, but from what Apple Girl is saying that further away, the area seems to be more dangerous. I guess having a name such as Forest Of Lost Souls, its a given that it should be dangerous.

“An army of slimes this far out!? That is impossible! They would all die by stronger monsters!” Apple Girl cried out. She seemed too overly excited now. “While I did run into this forest myself, I actually had many bodyguards who were trying to help me escape. We ran into the forest after we got ambushed on the road back to the capital. But even they sacrificed themselves to fend off the monsters that are over level 100 and above. I only noticed it now, but only when I got near this place did the monsters seem to be nonexistent, like something was keeping…. Wait….” 

Apple girl suddenly turned to look at me and shivered slightly, her eyes dancing about. Is she thinking dirty things? I guess I should make this clear now. “Just so you know, I do not swing that way.”
