TDGA) Apple Girl Part 1 (Unedited)

One thing I am glad of is that while I can definitely hold a large quantity of water, the problem is that when I take it out it comes out in as a bucket full. It was basically a five gallon bucket full of water. While good to a certain extent, it was hard to deal with, say you only wanted a cup. But this can be easily handled. It is not like I need it at the moment, but eventually, I am sure I will. But in the short term, it is fine. I will work on making a bucket tomorrow. I think with my current skills and know how from anime and manga, I can easily make a few buckets.

“I guess I will make a fish dinner for now. I got some dry wood and some rocks I can make a fire with. Sadly I am an ice dragon, so I can’t make fire, but….” I did see fire magic in the list of skills I could get, but it cost ten SP, so I would need two levels. Five points per level is not bad, and while I should probably be spending them on this that will help me later on, fire magic of any kind of very important. 

I went to work and started a fire which took about twenty minutes as I am not used to using the whole rubbing sticks together to make fire trick. Luckily I have thickly padded paws or else I probably would have dug a hole in my hand with how fast I was spinning that stick around. But at least now I had a fire going.

With the fire going, I took one of the fish from the net, gutted it, and de-boned it before stuffing it with herbs and mushrooms. I then used a vine and a thin stick to sew it shut and roasted it over the fire. To be honest, I did not think I would be able to eat something this fragrant at all, but it really did smell delicious. 

While it cooked, I looked at my skill list, which was not accessible since I leveled up. Each point was precious, and while I needed points to level up my skills as well, I wanted to make sure I had survival skills first. I was a dragon, after all. It would be shameful to my dragon pride which I have recently acquired, if I were to lose to something with less health than me! I mean, my pride shot up now that I was a full fledged dragon and not some dragon lizard thing. 

“Looks like it is done!” I grinned a toothy grin as I bit into my freshly cooked fish….

Not far from where Shiro was cooking her dinner, a young woman was running through the forest with a bow in her hand. “Why are they still chasing me!?” 

Shoulder length red hair that was as red as an apple fluttered in the air as she ran through the thickets. Behind her, a group of men with swords and daggers wearing black clothing chased after her. “Princess Alice, just give it up already. You destined to die on this day!”

The young woman, who looked no more than fifteen to sixteen years of age, did not even stop to say anything to the man who had yelled out. Her entire focus was on running away as fast as she could. 

She kept running and running until she finally broke through a set of trees, and a smell entered her nose. Smelling such a scent of cooked food, Alice’s hope for survival had risen by a lot. She broke through the trees and bushes and stumbled to a stop when she saw a blue scaled lizard like creature with wings munching on a freshly roasted fish….

The blue scaled lizard like creature turned and looked at Alice. It blinked a few times before slowly hugging the fish in its hands and saying: “You can’t have any! I only cooked one!” 

The first thing that came to Alice’s mind was…. ‘It talked! No, wait, more importantly, I need to run!’

She went to run forward but stumbled her steps and almost fell over. She had stopped, and some of the tension that was holding her body together fell when she saw the blue scaled lizard like creature. She almost fell on her face when she suddenly felt herself being propped up.

“Hey, apple girl. You okay?” A voice entered her ears. She looked at what was holding her up and saw it was actually the blue scaled lizard like creature!

A few moments earlier…

“This is really good! I should compliment the chef. Wait, that’s me! I am such a good chef. All my years sitting in my room doing my own thing and making all kinds of delicacies with instant ramen has come in handy.” I really was really enjoying this fish. It made me feel like this place by the pond was my new home. A place I could go back to.

*Rustle*

I heard rustling behind me and yelling off in the distance, which kind of stunned me since this was the first time I had even heard of any humans. I turned to see an apple girl running out of the tree line. The fish that was to my mouth that I was about to eat, being stared at by the predator with red hair. I slowly lowered my fish and hugged it to my chest as I said: “You can’t have any! I only cooked one!”
