YITLOF: Ch: 37) Hinata’s Secret Date Part 1

While Hiashi was firmly stating his resolve to secretly protect Hinata, Hinata was busy being a wolf in sheep's clothing as she held onto Yuki's arm, smiling away while dragging Yuki here and there. She had decided to secretly go on a date with Yuki without Yuki realizing it. She had told Sakura that the two of them had something going on that needed to be done after today's test.

“Hinata, where are we going?” Yuki asked. Hinata only said she wanted to go buy something but never said where.

“We will be at our first stop soon.” Hinata said with a bright smile.

Yuki pursed her lips. She wanted to go home and train some more before their first official mission. But since Hinata wanted to go shopping for something she relented because she thought it would only be one stop but now it seemed that was not the case. And seeing how Hinata was smiling away, she did not wish to ruin her long time friend’s fun. Ever since little they had been inseparable. Hinata and her have done everything together. You could say they were closer than blood related sisters. She cared greatly for Hinata and wanted nothing more than for Hinata to live a happy life.

At this point Yuki couldn’t think of a life without Hinata by her side. But she knew one day they would actually grow up and fall in love with someone. When she thought of this she felt slightly gloomy for some reason but did not know why. While Yuki had been confessed to on more than one occasion, she never knew how to deal with the matters of love and Hinata was always there to shoo them away so she did not have to reject them.

As Yuki thought of all their time together over the years, a faint smile formed on her lips as she interlocked her fingers with Hinatas. Whether she realized it or not is another story. Hinata on the other hand’s smile, got bigger and bigger. Ever since she stole that book from Kakashi she had gotten her hands on a few more treasures throughout the years that helped her understand the ways of the yuri. Her feelings for Yuki had slowly bloomed to a point that they were bursting from their seams. But she did not wish to scare Yuki away. She also knew her feelings for the girl next to her was not seen as the norm. But she hoped one day she would get a chance where she could tell the one she loved her true feelings. Until then she could only do things like this to contain her feelings enough so she would not cause Yuki to move away from her.

And by Yuki taking it upon herself to interlock fingers she couldn’t be any more on cloud nine. One day she wanted to kiss Yuki and in the future marry her and have many little Yukis. Hinata was still ignorant to the wisdom of the birds and the bees as the books she reads have none of that.

The first stop on the secret date was a small cake shop that had many different kinds of cakes. Each one was small and just the right size for a girl who wished to have an outing with a friend but not overeat.

Hinata pulled Yuki to a small table for two as the waitress brought over a menu. “We have two new specials we are testing out for a limited time. One is a chocolate fon….”

Both Yuki and Hinata had no idea what the waitress was talking about. They looked at the menus in front of them and both pointed to the same thing. Yuki chuckled and said:  “We will both have this. And one of each of the specials.”

The waitress smiled and wrote down the order. “Coming right up!”

After the waitress left Yuki leaned against the table and looked Hinata in the eye. “So are you going to tell me what you have planned today?”

“Nope, it’s a surprise!”  Hinata said while sticking her tongue out at Yuki.

Yuki rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat. She looked around and felt that it was not bad to get out every so often. “I guess we should take breaks like this every now and then.”

“Yes we should!” Hinata readily agreed. “But I know training is also important. But I do wish to go out with you more like this, just the two of us.”

“It is nice being together like this outside. Normally we always have so many noisy people around us. Not that I dislike that noise either. Ino, Sakura, Shikamaru, and even Naruto are all great people and good friends.” Yuki really was enjoying her new life. She missed her elder sisters and knew they would probably never meet again but as they say, time moves on. If she stayed mooping around wallowing in her own depression nothing will ever change. She hoped to grow powerful enough to maybe one day figure out a way home but there was limited to just how powerful one can be. While there was still a slight chance of reaching the world she was from there would be no telling how many years would have passed. Her world for all she knew would be destroyed or have thousands of years pass on it.

She knew all of this, this was why she decided to grow stronger and live a fulfilling life here, just as her elder sister would have wanted.
