I started to understand the nature of creativity in my early forties. Creativity is akin to & as crucial as water. A water that brings a new angle to everything we do on this Earth & ultimately gives the things we interact with a new shine & keeps them interesting, us inspired & allows us to access emotions we maybe had a hard time accessing. I have become something like a faucet or river for that water. It’s my responsibility to harness that energy correctly & part of my job is to take care of myself so I am able to channel it for others. My other job is to communicate these creative ideas clearly & bring them to life. The ideas feel like they are there already. I know I’m unique, but these things really feel external to me, like I am discovering them, but they already existed. It’s hard to describe but it’s relevant to the hundredth monkey effect. The hundredth monkey effect is an esoteric idea claiming that a new behavior or idea is spread rapidly by unexplained means from one group to all related groups once a critical number of members of one group exhibit the new behavior or acknowledge the new idea. I’ve used this to explain things being invented simultaneously by unattached peoples on opposing sides of the world. It suggests to me that humans are accessing the same wellspring that evolves with them. It is probably connected to the collective unconscious. This all seems flaky to talk about because it still dwells in the realm of the occult & the unknown functioning of the human mind. But, the more we know, the more we realize we don’t know & the mind is enormous & unknown.
