Added 2024-08-09 17:08:59 +0000 UTCSo much appears to be seen in 360 degrees of 3 dimensions with the advent of social media & the insane level of surveillance but being able to think, really think about things from a different angle seems far less prevalent to me. Even when it was a rarity before. True alternative thought that isn’t just aping someone else’s line is painfully small. Part of it is that our society doesn’t advocate critical thinking or independent thought, part of it is that social media just encourages conformity on all levels. I stopped expressing myself like this for decades because I got tired of being constantly misunderstood, I ran with the misunderstanding. Now, I’m feeling patient & energetic enough to really express myself & help other people understand what I’m trying to say. I say these things because I don’t even try to think outside of the box at this point, I just do. However, I feel like I need to encourage it in others. I feel like those corny children’s media from back in the day that just emphasize “imagination” over & over again, but now I understand why, everyone is capable of unique thought & it’s crucial to roll the ball forwards. Imagination & unique thoughts aren’t the only things of course, you need hard work, discipline, focus, inspiration, leadership, bravery & a laundry list of other things. It’s funny because I’ve always known that things needed to be liquefied in order to have real change, but now in the liquid I am constantly surprised at how the most basic things need to be promoted & explained. But of course they do, we’re at Ground Zero.
