It’s because Kamal used up all his money on this film and went broke for while😅

It almost feels like it was intentionally written that way. To intentionally show that they are dumb and stupid, which was not necessary . Lol

It actually interesting to watch Americans react to this movie. Good or bad

It was fun to watch your last 30 minutes reaction on American actors 😁

Didn’t realize the white actors were so bad in this at the time I watched it in theaters 😳

The confidence with which you think Miles Anderson is Jerome Flynn AKA Bronn is killing me 😂

I forgot about how the flashbacks just cut off after the American attack without a proper conclusion in this first part. The montage you saw at the end was actually a teaser for the second film, which has the remaining flashback portion that fills in the gaps with Omar finding out about Wisam and more info about what actually hapened to Omar's family. There are more scenes with Omar's family and his son at the training camp, and it does all come back around in the end. This flashback portion was shot with the first and should have been left in the first one imo. From what I remember it was consistent with the first part and had a good conclusion to that storyline. The rest of the plot for the second film had to be rewritten entirely due to producers pulling out and budget running out, and it was in development hell for a while.

This thread has some info on what happened to the sequel.
It wasn't as good, but I don't remember the second film being awful, and I was glad that I did watch it, as it did have a proper conclusion to some of the characters that were introduced in the first. But I do remember the whole present-day plot being unfocused and not as good as the first. The scenes that were filmed with the first part were good, but the rest of the scenes and subplots were disjointed.

I understand bad white actors in films shot in India as they literally choose tourists.. But if a film is shot in the west, at least they should be able to get decent actors (like Korbin and Rick 😃)

It’s interesting Rick talks about Rambo’s make up during the watchalong. Kamal Hassan worked on Rambo 3 as a make up artist. He has himself spoken about it.

Yeah that entire FBI interrogation scene was rough to sit through. Bad white actors in Indian films are interesting because I believe it all comes down to them just casting people they know aren't too expensive and can get the job done with whatever they are given. The same exact thing is consistent in Korean movies/shows as well.
