[Survey] Generator name!

I'm on the fence with the current name of the mega generator: Genetron, because it does suggest something to do with genes, when in reality there is nothing relating to genes in this mod.
The idea came from me merging the word Generator and Tron, which in polish means Throne, which creates a word that to me at least suggested the Throne of all Generators.
As such, I'd like to put it up for public vote. Please pick the option that you think is fitting for the biggest generator ever seen, a heart of the colony, a one of a kind upgradable power generation unit that will provide all the power for your colony.

(Hyperboly; I haven't checked. :D ) And I totally get it: It sounds modern, mysterious and promising at the same time, refers to a building structure as well as a story element and has a mathematical meaning. There is a web browser, a meaning in publishing and countless companies have adopted it for their (virtual) products. It's definitely time for us Rimworld players to get our own ARC. I certainly voted for it. ;) Just one caveat: Since it sounds so awesome, are you sure you don't want to save it for your upcoming mods "Archotech" or "Megacorps"?

I think in this case, I just prefer "Reactor" over "Generator" to separate it from the simple chemfuel and woodfire generators we build in the early game. Though I am also fond of Helion Reactor since it implies it is a specific type of technology used in the reaction. Some other name I thought of: Icarus Reactor or Daedalus Reactor - After the legend of Icarus flying too close to the sun. Daedalus was a talented craftsman who built wings that let people fly but his son was too fascinated with the feeling of flight to heed his father's warnings, flew too close to the sun, and perished. Just because a talented craftsman can create a great work doesn't mean the people around them will be responsible enough to maintain it. Gamma Reactor - After Gamma rays and to an extent the song "Gamma Unchained" by The Megas about Dr. Wily starting up his extremely powerful Gamma robot to end the war with Light, only for it to go out of control.

2024-11-22 15:24:11 +0000 UTCThough choice this one, was debating between Cradle, Source and Generator, but chose the last one cause to me in feels like its not supposed to be just some new type of generator, but like the mother of all generators, with a capital G. Like you dont say “thats a new generator” no you would say “thats The Generator”.
