"Stop right there or we'll blow that van to bits." The Colonel ordered through his armored vehicle's loud speaker.
"We've a super nearby, you won't stand a chance."
"I know, we see her on our scanner. We've got a plane ready too. You might beat us, or you might not, but I know one shot from this gun and that van's scrap metal."
"With your boy in it."
"Exactly. Let him go."
The van's engine throttled up at the two silver guards raised their weapons to fire. The Colonel motioned for them to put them down and in an instant, Brandon was shoved roughly out the door and the van squealed off.
"We can chase them." One of the silver guards said.
"And do what? Kill a civilian female? Go grab him."
Raj was bound with handcuffs and standing nearby in terror.
"Did you really think they would care if I got hurt?"
"No." The Colonel squared up with Raj.
"Then why take me as a hostage?"
"I want them to know that I have you."
