WWII Fallout - Direction Update - December 2023

Hello everyone!

WOW - There is now 70 of you WWII enjoyers here!

But December is also here and I wanted to share my WWII plan for this month with you all. Today I finished the last Practicum I had left at my University and am looking forward to becoming a Medical Doctor in February. It was a long and interesting journey so far. 

In the meantime, I have an opportunity to continue this Project more regularly and I have decided on some goals to be achieved this month.

So, what is to come?

Main Focus

First off the main focus is to finish the US Faction. I wish to have a working US - Brotherhood replacer by the end of the year. 

Some of the US uniforms have been recently introduced - They will be added to the US Pack, which is currently missing the Medic and the Pilot/Tanker/Mechanic uniforms. 

Once the US Pack is out and polished, I will look into a sensible way to replace the Brotherhood of Steel with US uniforms.

Behind the scenes

• Here's what's been going on: I invested most of my free time these past weeks into learning the weapon animation porting workflow. It is a wild beast to tame and I am not yet there, but I now know how to get vanilla animations into an editing program and export changes back to the game.
  The reason for this is to get NPCs to use my own weapon ports - so that they won't have 3rd person animation problems.
  The Player can still use whatever they want -> this will eliminate the long lists of required mods on the Replacers! It's a long road tho.

• I worked out a method to add dismemberment to uniforms - It is probably not the correct way to do it, but it's the only method that worked for me. I will do more research on the topic and eventually update all the existing and new uniforms to have dismemberment support.

• The first of the Japanese Uniforms has entered the workflow. IJA Faction will most likely be the future focus and will be replacing the Children of Atom.

• Finally - Discord - It has been on my mind for quite some time now (I even mentioned it in the last update), but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Hopefully I get a spark of motivation soon!
