Added 2022-07-19 22:01:00 +0000 UTCWhen I cast actresses, and as I often use nudity in my films, I'm assiduous in making sure they are not just of legal age for appearing nude on camera, but a comfortable distance beyond. I'm less careful verifying the age of men in my films, as it's rare that I have even a shirtless man, let alone nude.
I used Caleb (whom I mistakenly called 'Casey' all during the shoot) in two of my upcoming films, 'it/they/them' and 'Rubicon'. It wasn't until the latter that he revealed that even though the character was described as mid 20's, he was in fact only 19.
Surprised the hell out of everyone in the cast. But he wasn't performing or involved in anything nude, so it didn't matter. Just a moment of surprise.
He's certainly dedicated. Drove 3 hours from Indiana each time to do the films. And by the way, he did an excellent job. I'll probably ask him to take the drive again!
