So Many sub plots involved in this one.. and I do agree that it is going to be a wild one as we work through everything.. I Love the show, and cannot wait to see what happens with the Banishment!!

We sympathize with Uk and Mu-Deok because she is trying to get back her power and life and he is trying to live out his dream and break away from the bindings his father put on him. On the other hand Park Jin, is in a tough spot. He is leader of the mages and he promised Uk’s father he would protect Uk and keep him safe from people finding out about his true identity as son of the late king. You could tell it hurt him to banish Uk and order the flogging. He earlier told Maidservant Kim that he might have to break Uk’s will in order to protect him. So I think he was doing what he thought would be best to protect Uk. We already see that the crown prince, who looks like a powerful fighter and mage, has marked Uk as an enemy. So getting the attention of the royal family is probably not a good idea for Uk right now. Jin Mu also seems to be aware of Uk’s heritage as he was the apprentice to Uk’s dad and helped him shift back to his body. But he is keeping it to himself for now…which makes you wonder why. We already see he is the secret leader of the soul shifters, and we don’t know his plans yet. We don’t know how much influence he has behind the scenes or who in the royal court is a soul shifter. One detail that seems small now but plays a big part later is the constellation prophecy. Uk’s dad referred to it…that Uk was born under the Kings constellation…at this point we don’t know if it’s a curse or a blessing or if it means Uk has a destiny or not..it gets understood later on. But the main thing to remember about it is..it’s a big deal and anyone born under it is a big threat to the royal family. Uk’s dad was desperate to keep that a secret. We don’t know how many people know about it other than Uk’s dad and Park Jin. The fact that everyone else seems unaware of it, means that if anyone else knows about it, they are keeping it to themselves for their own reasons. Anyway great show and I love that I am catching hints I missed on my first watch through lol
