2024-07-23 04:12:45 +0000 UTCI am still very new to her stuff, this is certain, but, as you say, I have seen enough now to know that I am looking forward to the next album as well because it is very clear that there is no way to know which way she will go with it.. and I do love that for sure.. Great Stuff!! Get some rest my friend, I am looking forward to Eras soon as well..

She made another like it (“evermore”) a couple months after this Disney livestream concert, but that sister album didn’t get a performance like this one until we reached the Eras Tour. Still, the Eras Tour had some unbelievable almost theatre-style performances for “evermore” so I’m not about to complain. It IS sad watching this because her boyfriend at the time—Joe Alwyn, who cowrote a few of these songs—is no longer her boyfriend. They were together for six years. (She released a song about their breakup called “You’re Losing Me” where the percussion is a sample of her heart beating…it’s a really good one, but not one she sings often because it’s so fresh and heavy.) She recently played “peace” as a surprise song, too, and when she sang, “is it enough?” she drew back from the mic to shake her head…because it wasn’t. At least for that relationship. Which is so sad to me… I’m really wondering if her next album will have a completely new sound, or if it’ll be like something from her past… I mean, you’re relatively new to her, but you’ve seen Fearless (country), Speak Now (???), 1989 (pop), Reputation (???), folklore… I love the kind of range she gives us. For all I know, the next album could be jazz. Or rock. Or something totally different! I think that’s why I’m looking forward to it so much… I’m fallin asleep on my phone 😂 hope I’m coherent.
